Kyajo-ri Peak lies in the Mahalangur Range among a long line of peaks continuing all the way to Mount Cho-oyu border between Nepal and Tibet.
Kyazori Peak is taken as the one of the highest trekking peaks on the Southern ridge made by the Thame and Gokyo Valley to the east. Whereas the Kyazo Ri southern part is highest summit of this ridge. It is a beautiful mountain with a sharp defined summit and highest peak in is immediate vicinity. The Kyazo Ri was officially opened as a climbing peak by the Nepalese Ministry of Tourism In 2002.
First ascent of the Kyazo Ri was successfully ascended by the British team and there are only few routes are available to ascend the Mt. Kyazori peak from Both Machharmo side and the Mende side. The route of the Kyazori trial actually ends unlike Lobuche East or Island Peak. While located in the middle of the Khumbu region it is surrounded by the spectacular summits and its dramatic views. Climbing Kyazo Ri is technically difficult. Whereas to reach to the Kyazo Ri, you will have to take flight from Kathmandu to Lukla then you will heads towards base of the Kyazo Ri. Kyazori base camp lies in a pristine, hidden valley Kyajo Drangka. Along the trail you will be visiting Namche Bazaar 3440 m, can observe the capital of Sherpa people, their tradition and culture.
