Everest Gokyo Lake Trek Detail Itinerary: 13 Days
Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,310 m)
Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, you will be warmly welcomed by a representative of Himalayan Magic Treks and assist with your transfer to the hotel. You will then be driven to the comfortable 4-star Hotel Shambala Boutique, where breakfast is included. The rest of the day is free to relax and recover from your journey, with a short welcome program arranged by our team.

Day 02: Flight to Lukla & Trek to Phakding
After an early breakfast, you will take a scenic domestic flight to Lukla (2,840 m), the gateway to the Everest region. Upon arrival, the trek begins with a gentle descent through beautiful mountain landscapes, traditional villages, and suspension bridges. After approximately 3–4 hours of walking, you will reach Phakding (2,610 m), where you will stay overnight at Tribeni Lodge, enjoying a warm meal and rest in the heart of the Himalayas.

Day 03: Trek to Namche Bazaar (3,440 m)
Today’s trek leads from Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3,440 m), taking approximately 5½ hours of walking through scenic river valleys, suspension bridges, and pine forests. The trail gradually ascends into the heart of the Everest region, offering beautiful views of the surrounding Himalayas. Upon arrival in Namche Bazaar, you will stay overnight at a comfortable lodge, resting and acclimatizing in this vibrant mountain town.

Day 04: Acclimatization Day at Namche Bazaar (3,440 m)
Today is an important acclimatization day in Namche Bazaar, allowing your body to adjust to the higher altitude. You may take short hikes to nearby viewpoints, enjoy panoramic views of Everest and surrounding peaks, and explore the vibrant Sherpa town. This rest day helps improve adaptation for higher elevations ahead. Overnight stay will be at a comfortable lodge in Namche Bazaar.

Day 05: Trek to Dole (4,110 m)
Today’s trek continues from Namche Bazaar to Dole (4,110 m), taking approximately 6½ hours of walking through beautiful alpine forests, rhododendron trails, and gradual uphill paths. As you gain altitude, the scenery becomes more remote and offers stunning views of the surrounding Himalayan peaks. Upon arrival in Dole, you will stay overnight at a lodge, resting and acclimatizing for the journey ahead.

Day 06: Trek to Machhermo (4,470 m)
Today’s trek from Dole to Machhermo (4,470 m) takes approximately 4½ hours through stunning alpine landscapes and open valleys. The trail gradually ascends, offering beautiful views of snow-capped peaks and peaceful high-altitude scenery. Upon arrival in Machhermo, you will stay overnight at a lodge, resting and acclimatizing in preparation for higher elevations.

Day 07: Trek to Gokyo Lake (4,790 m)
Today’s trek leads from Machhermo to the stunning Gokyo Lake (4,790 m), taking around 4½ hours of walking through dramatic high-altitude scenery. The trail gradually ascends alongside glacial valleys, offering breathtaking views of snow-covered peaks and turquoise lakes. Upon arrival at Gokyo, you will stay overnight at a lodge, surrounded by the serene beauty of the Himalayas.

Day 08: Gokyo Ri Hike & Trek to Dole
Early in the morning, you will hike to Gokyo Ri (5,357 m) to enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of Everest, Cho Oyu, and the surrounding Himalayan peaks. After returning to Gokyo and having breakfast, the trek continues back down to Dole (4,110 m), taking a total of around 6½ hours of walking for the day. Upon arrival in Dole, you will stay overnight at a lodge, resting after an adventurous and rewarding day.

Day 09: Trek to Manju (2,840 m)
Today’s trek descends from Dole to Manju (2,840 m), taking approximately 5½ hours of walking through scenic mountain trails, forests, and traditional villages. As you lose altitude, the air becomes warmer and the landscapes more lush and green. Upon arrival in Manju, you will stay overnight at a lodge, enjoying rest and comfort after the day’s journey.

Day 10: Trek to Lukla (2,840 m)
Today’s trek continues from Manju back to Lukla (2,840 m), taking approximately 5½ hours of walking through familiar trails, river valleys, and charming mountain villages. The route offers a pleasant descent and final views of the Everest region landscapes. Upon arrival in Lukla, you will stay overnight at a lodge, celebrating the completion of your trekking journey in the Khumbu region.

Day 11: Flight to Kathmandu
After breakfast, you will take a scenic flight from Lukla back to Kathmandu, enjoying final aerial views of the Himalayan mountains. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to the 4-star Hotel Shambala Boutique for a comfortable overnight stay. The rest of the day is free to relax, refresh, or explore the city at your own pace after completing your trek.

Day 12: Free Day in Kathmandu
Today is a free day in Kathmandu, allowing you to relax and enjoy the comfort of the 4-star Hotel Shambala Boutique. You may choose to rest, explore nearby attractions, shop for souvenirs, or experience the vibrant culture of the city at your own pace. This leisure day offers a perfect opportunity to unwind after your trekking adventure in the Himalayas.

Day 13: Departure from Kathmandu
After breakfast at the hotel, you will be transferred to Tribhuvan International Airport for your onward journey.
