It lies at high above the Tibetan prairie on the boarder of Nepal with its mighty altitude 8,201 m above the sea level. Mt. Cho Oyu is the world’s 6th highest mountain which was first to pace onto the snow-dome summit were the Australians: S. Moechler, H. Tichy and P. Dawa Lama from Nepal in 1954.

Mt. Cho Oyu (8,201m) is the most well known 8000 m Peak Climbing and it would be the best destination for the all the mountaineers who want to be on the summit of 8,000 m peak  due to its straight forward climbing with minimal objectives danger as well as it is technically less demanding. It has more than four dissimilar routes on Cho Oyu with the Tibetan North side providing several worthy possibilities. It is one of the most success trails than any other 8000 m peaks in Nepal and Tibet. Its Base Camp is located at the Rongbuk Glacier (5,180m).
