Mera Island peak climbing is one of the rare high altitude Himalaya adventure follows the route of our classic Mera Isaland Peak Climbing until the mountain summit.  After downward to the Mera-la, we move Eastward into the mountain wasteland of the Upper Hongu Valley. Trekking underneath the elevated embankment of Chamlang, with Lhotse and Everest can be clearl, we arrive at holy lakes at Panch pokhari. Then we lead rugged crossing of the technical Amphu Labsta (5,700m) then drop down into the Imja Valley, where set up our base camp beneath Island peak (6,189m).we will have two days to accent outstanding peak that located beyond the impressive south face of Lhotse. While passing along Everest trail by the way of the Capital of Sherpa’s Namche Bazaar then our trail will be complete at Lukla.

Mera Island Peak trail offers us prominent diversity of trekking; it is one of the Nepal’s excellent and most challenging mountain journeys with its spectacular scenery. Our first journeys will be walking between Lukla and Tagnag along the pleasant forest of rhododendron and pine, valleys of Upper Hinku and Hongu River. During on trail we should need an experienced and professional team of Sherpa porter and guide as well as well-equipped for the high altitude trekking. This trail consists of most of the best route including a precise trail in the snow preeminent over the Mera-La. Upper Hunku route is less used, underneath conditions are still relatively easy. This is the one of the strenuous trek that include up to seven continuous night over at 5000m(16,400ft) lying at remote area because of two  ascent of 6000m.

Mera Island Peak will be difficult when we ascent it through  the usual route on the north face part, whereas Mera is not technically strenuous peak that rarely steeper than 30 degrees excluding for the final ascent to the summit where we fixed lines are used to preserve this last 30 to 40 meters. A ski stick gives the best possible assistance in soft snow condition and a single walking axe is all that is necessary if condition become hard. It is taken as the one of the strenuous climbing trails because of its altitude and exhausting route. Our proven acclimatization program and our use of a high camp at 5,800m(19,028ft) will provides us best chance to arrive toward the summit. During our summit we will use ropes, splitting the group among the guides and the Sherpa’s.

Mera Amphu Labtsa pass: is the most technical trail than the Mera Peak, it will requires to conquer chain of ice steps (protect by a fixed line) to reach at rocky crest, and from the top you will make an deep or a lower of around 35 meters 120 feet to reach fixed lines which are used to preserve the final descent of approximately 300 meters 1000 feet over 30-40 degree snow and rock to easier slopes.  Island Peak climbing lies at lower altitude than Mera Peak, whereas Mera Peak is more technically demanding and involves climbing up to 45 degree snow slopes and an exposed summit ridge.

Spring collects beautiful flowers, plants and rare animals Walking is also very much suitable during this season.

Summer (June - August) and Winter (December - February). Trekking ''Rain shadow''

Trekking‘’Rain shadow ‘’

We have had a wonderful trekking experience in lower Mustang. We can warmly recommend the trip arranged by Nabin the owner of Himalayan magic treks.  At First Nabin picked us up from Airport with beautiful marigold flowers with warm welcome, it makes me impressed and He speak with lovely smile all the time and explain all the program correctly just in front of us and Guide to be clear our trip agreement during our staying in Nepal and he choose excellent Hotel in center of Thamel and actually we have few extra nights Hotel before leaving our Home Denmark but we felt his choice Hotel is suite and well comfortable and we keep continue stay few more days.  We enjoyed the best services from our excellent guide Kanchha and our porter Raj, who were always concerned with our needs and wishes.

Even though we trekked in the monsoon season we only had heavy rain one half of the trekking days.Sometimes on the trekking paths is was a bit cloudy, which gave the opportunity to experience the forest as an enhanced forest like in the fantasy movies (such as Harry Potter and Lord Of The Rings) when the weather cleared the most amazing views were visible with snow-covered mountains, desserts, rivers and the wild life. All in all a wonderful trekking experience. We are very happy with all professional Team of HMT and strongly recommend this Company to take their services and punctual time for those programs. We can’t Thanks enough for Nabin and his Team

The Best Trekking Company in Nepal

#1 Company in Nepal After few emails with Nabin, owner of Himalayan Magic Treks . We finally booked our trip with Himalayan Magic Treks before coming to Nepal and the process was faultless from the very beginning. We tailored a trek that suited us and our dates. We went to Poon Hill and ABC in 9 days program. Which is made by Nabin and his suggestion was absolutely perfect for us. We are very lucky to got contact this company from internet and Nabin answered promptly so it makes me 100 % trust this Company with his details information.
The tea houses we stayed in looked better than some of the other accommodation available. The guide and porters spoke excellent English and were very easy to speak with. They were keen to learn more and were very knowledgeable on the route and answered all of our questions. Their good humour allowed a sufficient amount of banter between our group which made it very enjoyable. They were always offering to help with any problems. In contrast, other guides and groups from other companies looked far worse. Magic Treks' were far better kitted out and professional than all the other guides and porters we saw. A level of professionalism that made us feel more at ease.
Going in wet season we had expected poor weather but were very lucky and got amazing views of at ABC despite not having been to Poon Hill because of poor weather.

Overall, Himalayan Magic Treks were professional and reasonable in price. If/when I return to Nepal I would only consider using them. A brilliant company and one sure to make your trip to Nepal amazing

First Mountain Experiences

‘I'm a 25 year old Korean-Canadian and I got into contact with Nabin 5 months before my arrival at Nepal in 2014 after hearing some good references from other foreigners. I got in contact with him early to get some ideas about trekking to ABC early 2015. He was very quick but detailed in his responses.

I had actually contacted several other guides and trekking companies, but in the end I decided to go with Nabin and his guide-porter because of not only their fast replies but also a sense of flexibility I got from them when it came to making decisions. They were very accommodating to the decisions I made, even about the little details. I highly recommend Nabin and his agency because of the hospitality, care, and quick emergency responses I received from them when I needed medical help. I think this is the most important factor when choosing a guide for your trekking experience.

We are hiring guides not just for sightseeing info during the trekking experience but in case we need to deal with emergency situations. Nabin and Krishna dealt my health problem really well and even continuously followed up with me throughout my stay at Nepal. This was not part of their job description when I hired them, and I truly appreciate their care and attention. I am planning to attempt an ABC trek again in two years after I train more. I'll be asking Nabin and Krishna again for their guidance and I hope my review of them will be helpful to you in deciding your guide for your trekking experience.
