Upon completing our trek from Nama Phu Kharka to Jomsom, we now transition to the next phase of our journey, traveling from Jomsom to the enchanting city of Pokhara. We have two options for transportation: flight or land transportation.

  • Option 1: Flight

We can opt for a scenic flight from Jomsom to Pokhara, which offers breathtaking views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountain ranges. The flight duration is approximately 20-30 minutes, providing a swift and convenient way to reach Pokhara while enjoying spectacular aerial vistas.

  • Option 2: Land Transportation

Alternatively, we can choose land transportation, which involves a picturesque journey by road from Jomsom to Pokhara. While longer in duration compared to a flight, this option allows us to soak in the beauty of the surrounding landscapes and immerse ourselves in the local culture along the way. The road journey typically takes around 6-8 hours, depending on road conditions and traffic.

Upon reaching Pokhara, we are greeted by the serene ambiance of the city, nestled alongside the tranquil Phewa Lake and surrounded by verdant hills. We are transferred to our hotel, where we can relax and unwind after our adventurous trek. Our accommodation includes a comfortable room and a delicious breakfast, ensuring a refreshing start to the day.

  • Briefing Session:

The briefing session begins with introductions and a warm welcome from representatives of the Ministry of Tourism Board.

An experienced expedition leader or guide takes the floor to lead the briefing, providing an overview of the upcoming adventure, including the itinerary, route details, safety protocols, and logistical arrangements.
Participants have the opportunity to ask questions, seek clarification, and voice any concerns they may have about the expedition.
Special attention is given to safety measures, emergency procedures, and environmental conservation practices, emphasizing the importance of responsible trekking and mountaineering in the Himalayas.

  • Interactive Activities:

To enhance engagement and teamwork among participants, interactive activities such as map orientation exercises, gear demonstrations, and group discussions may be incorporated into the briefing session.

Here's how our departure day may unfold:Our transportation arrives to escort us to Tribhuvan International Airport, where we'll catch our flights to our respective onward destinations.
The journey to the airport provides one last opportunity to take in the sights and sounds of Kathmandu, as we bid farewell to the bustling streets and vibrant atmosphere of the city.
