Annapurna Base Camp Detail Trek Itinerary:

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,310m)
Upon your arrival at Kathmandu International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by a representative from Himalayan Magic Treks. After meeting your guide, you will be transferred directly to your hotel in Kathmandu. The rest of the day is free to relax after your journey or explore the vibrant streets of the capital city. Overnight stay at the hotel in Kathmandu


Day 02: Drive to Nayapul (1,070m) and Trek to Hile
After breakfast, drive from Kathmandu to Nayapul by private transport, enjoying scenic views of hills, rivers, and traditional villages along the way. Upon arrival at Nayapul, begin your trek through beautiful countryside and terraced farmlands. After approximately 2 hours of walking, reach the village of Hile. Enjoy the peaceful mountain atmosphere and overnight stay at a Lodge


Day 03: Trek to Ghorepani (2,860m) – 5 Hours
After breakfast, continue trekking through beautiful rhododendron forests, cascading streams, and traditional mountain villages. The trail gradually ascends, offering stunning views of the surrounding hills and Himalayan peaks. After approximately 5 hours of trekking, arrive at the picturesque village of Ghorepani, a popular viewpoint in the Annapurna region. Enjoy the mountain scenery and warm hospitality before an overnight stay at a Lodge


Day 04: Sunrise at Poon Hill (3,210m) and Trek to Tadapani (2,675m)
Early in the morning, hike to Poon Hill (3,210m), one of the most famous viewpoints in the Annapurna region, to witness a spectacular sunrise over the Himalayan range. Enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Machhapuchhre (Fishtail), and other snow-capped peaks. After returning to Ghorepani for breakfast, continue trekking through beautiful rhododendron forests and scenic mountain trails to Tadapani. The trek takes approximately 6–7 hours in total. overnight stay at a Lodge


Day 05: Trek to Sinuwa (2,360m) – 6 to 7 Hours
After breakfast, begin the trek from Tadapani towards Sinuwa, following scenic trails through dense forests, traditional villages, and terraced fields. The route descends to Chhomrong before climbing steadily through beautiful bamboo and rhododendron forests. Along the way, enjoy stunning views of the Annapurna and Machhapuchhre peaks. After 6 to 7 hours of trekking, arrive at Sinuwa, a peaceful settlement nestled in the heart of the Annapurna Sanctuary. overnight stay at a Lodge
Day 06: Trek to Deurali (3,200m) – 6 Hours
Today’s trek takes you deeper into the Annapurna Sanctuary, following a scenic trail through dense bamboo and rhododendron forests. Passing through Bamboo, Dovan, and the Himalaya area, the landscape gradually becomes more alpine and dramatic. Enjoy spectacular views of towering cliffs, waterfalls, and surrounding peaks as you ascend. Day 07: Trek to Annapurna Base Camp (4,130m) – 4 Hours
After breakfast, continue your journey through the heart of the Annapurna Sanctuary, passing Machhapuchhre Base Camp and enjoying breathtaking views of snow-covered peaks. The trail gradually ascends across alpine terrain surrounded by towering mountains. After approximately 4 hours of trekking, reach Annapurna Base Camp (4,130m), the highlight of the trek. Day 08: Sunrise at Annapurna Base Camp and Trek to Sinuwa (2,360m) – 8 Hours

Enjoy breathtaking views of Annapurna I (8,091m), the sacred Machhapuchhre (6,993m), and a magnificent panorama of snow-capped peaks, glaciers, and towering mountain walls surrounding the sanctuary. After breakfast, begin the descent through Machhapuchhre Base Camp, Deurali, and Bamboo, retracing the scenic trail back to Sinuwa. After approximately 8 hours of trekking, arrive at Sinuwa for an overnight stay at a Lodge


Day 09: Trek to Ghandruk (1,940m) – 5 to 6 Hours
After breakfast, continue your descent through lush forests and traditional mountain trails, passing charming villages and enjoying beautiful views of the Annapurna range. The trek gradually leads to Ghandruk, one of the largest and most picturesque Gurung villages in the region. Known for its rich culture, stone-paved streets, and stunning mountain scenery, Ghandruk offers a wonderful opportunity to experience local Himalayan life. After 5 to 6 hours of walking, arrive at Ghandruk for an overnight stay at a Lodge


Day 10: Trek to Birethanti/Nayapul (1,040m) and Drive to Pokhara
After breakfast, begin your final day of trekking with a gentle descent towards Birethanti/Nayapul, walking through terraced fields, local villages, and riverside trails. After approximately 4 hours of trekking, arrive at the road head. From here, drive by private transport to the beautiful lakeside city of Pokhara. Upon arrival, transfer to Hotel Orchid and check into a deluxe room. The evening is free to relax and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of Pokhara. Overnight stay at the hotel with breakfast


Day 11: Drive to Kathmandu and Farewell Dinner
After breakfast, take a scenic Drive from Pokhara back to Kathmandu, enjoying beautiful aerial views of the Himalayan ranges. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel in Kathmandu for check-in and relaxation. Day 12: Departure Transfer

Safety and Security Sprains and stains
Probably the most common accident in the area, Steep terrain and rough trails may cause many people strain their knees and ankles. Remember to stretch before you start walking, take your time avoid trekking in the night time, and bring joint support bandages if you require them.

Health posts
There are at least one health post in every VDC of the Area. This facility is open to trekkers who require medical attention. A novel a you can help the Health post is to leave any unwanted medicines at the center at the end of your trek. This may help other fellow trekkers ho need urgent medical care.

Rescue operation- how to be prepared?
We will be serious in this case to protect our clients in the Mountain and it should be able to organize a rescue evacuation for you quickly in your critical situation. If not the following precautions may prevent a long wait for a helicopter for rescues during emergency.

  1. Have travel insurance and carry your insurance policy number with you.
  2. Carry a credit card with you.
  3. Do the coordination with your Tour Guide to connection with responsible person of HMT to quick Rescue services to safe your Life.
  4. Clients should Keep in touch with Company Manager during your travel time and Do not trust only Guide for this Emergency case.
  5. Guest should be able to check First aid kit with your Guide , who goes to Mountains to guiding you and avoid trekking on your own.
  6. Other problems:

  9. Have a credit card and travel insurance number
  10. Donkeys / Mules / yak: stay on the uphill side of these beasts.
  11. Leeches: stay on trail use salt to get rid of them, avoid the monsoon season.
  12. Full lodges: stop early don’t arrive in a place with 1-2 lodges at dusk, carry a tent.
  13. Hypothermia: when cold and or wet. Starts with shivering, progressing to slurred speech, stumbling, confusion, death.

Safe drinking water
Please do not buy bottled water as most bottles end up polluting the environment. Using untreated river and tap water is a sure bet to get diarrhea, Giardiasis etc. Instead reach water station to drink water and fill your water bottles.

Safe drinking water stations:
To reduce plastic after, ACAP & New Zealand Overseas Development Assistance have established these station. Refill your bottle with this Ozonated water. It is safer and cheaper than mineral water (mostly Nrs 60-70).
