Day 01: Arrival at Kathmandu Welcome by Himalayan Magic Treks Member and direct transfer to Hotel with breakfast
Day 02: Sightseeing tour in Kathmandu visit Basantapur Durbar Square, Pashupatinath, Swayambhu and Boudhanath. Overnight Hotel with Breakfast
Day 03: Kathmandu to Nepalgunj (1 hours)
After our short excursion in Kathmandu, we take an hour-long flight from Kathmandu to Nepalgunj, located in Western part of Nepal. Nepalgunj, a town near the Nepal-India border, is also the gateway to Simikot, Humla. The town itself is an interesting Terai town that showcases the diverse culture of Nepal. Day 04: Fly to Simikot (2,985 m) and trek to Dharapuri (2,360 m, 4/6 hours)
We take a 40-minute flight from Nepalgunj to Simikot and admire the beauty of the soaring mountain cliffs from the flight. Simikot, the head quarter of the Humla District, is cut off from the rest of the country due to its remoteness. From Simikot, we ascend for a while, then descend towards the village of Tuling. We continue walking through jungles and villages along the Karnali River towards Dharapuri. Overnight in Dharapuri.
Day 05: Fly to Simikot 2,910m & trek to Dharapuri 2,600 m - 04 hrs.
Starting after having early breakfast with connecting flight to Simikot, on reaching Simikot received by our trekking and camping staff, Simikot headquarter town of Mugu / Humla district around far North West Nepal offering stunning views of Mt Api and Saipal peaks.
From Simikot begin our first day walk to overnight camp at Dharapuri village, leading to a climb through farm fields of barley into forested ridge then downhill towards farm villages to reach Dharapuri for first overnight camping of this trip. Around far west region villages inhabited mostly by Thakuri people of Hindu religion, people around Mugu and Humla been in trade with Tibet for hundreds of years using same trail to Tibet border of 5-6 days walks.
Day 06: Trek to Sally-Khola 2,690 m near Kermi village - 05 hrs.
After Dharapuri village, journey continues leading to a climb and crossing a stream reaching the last village of Thakuri people and the end of rice fields. From here on ups and down path around grazing area and crossing Sally- Khola (stream) nearby beautiful waterfalls to our overnight camp a short distance from Kermi village, this place with hot springs of an hour walk.
Day 07: Trek to Muchu 2,920 m - 05 hrs.
Morning starts with an uphill through Yangar village on paved path built with rocks and woods and then crossing suspension bridge over Humla Karnali River, and then climb to a stream past apricot garden area and finally reaching Muchu village to our overnight camp, this small village with an old monastery and a border Police Check Post.
Day 08: Trek to Torea 3,380m -04 hrs.
After a nice stop at Muchu, our journey descend towards Thumkot village, after a break then climbing away from Humla-Karnali River walking on a steep-sided narrow gorge. From here a long hour trek leads slowly to a climb reaching at Torea village for overnight camp, with afternoon free at leisure to catch up with your dairy and explore this village.
Day 09: Trek to Sip-Sip 3,800 m - 05 hours.
As the walk progress altitude gains with morning climb to reach a small ridge at 3,500 meters high, from here countering on ridge top, offers grand vista of Yari valley area and high snowcapped peaks, after a short stop walk leads by an irrigation canal to a large wide valley of Jhyakthang chu this place marked with prayer walls entering into Buddhist culture villages of Tibetan influence.
After a good walk reaching a moderate size Yari village built with stones, this village has another police post, with government custom office and a school. Farmlands with terraces yielding sufficient crops growing millets, barley, amaranth (Marcia) wheat, buckwheat’s, potatoes and radishes. After a nice stop walk continues with a climb on a wide valley encountering group of traders, pilgrims and pack animals-goats, sheep’s and yaks, then reaching at Sip-Sip a small place of cattle herders with few shops.
Our camp is made near a stream at the bottom of Nara Lagna pass.
Day 10: Trek to Hilsa 3,720m via Nara Lagna - 06 hours.
From this camp morning walk leads to a climb on a ridge with huge rock atop at Nara Lagna pass at 5,000 m / 15,030ft, the highest spot of this walk on Nepal side. The pass offers grand panorama of Tibetan plateau with Humla Karnali River down below and green barley fields of Sher or Sera, distance views of Api and Saiphal peaks. After a pleasant stop walk downhill on dusty trail to Humla Karnali River to reach Nepal border at Hilsa village, a frontier post with few tents and stone houses surrounded with barley fields, just across the bridge a stone pillar marks Nepal-Tibet border.
Day 11: Cross the border with 02 hrs drive to Taklakot 3,770m.
Morning an hour climb to Sher in Tibet, on leaving Nepal, where our Tibetan guides and driver will receive for an interesting drive to Taklakot also known as Purang in Tibetan. Taklakot an important major market town for Tibetans, Nepali and as well for Indian traders with a separate bazaar areas, during summer months an important wool trade takes place between nomadic Drogpa herdsmen and Nepali traders our overnight stop in local guest house.
Day 12: Drive to Lake Manasarover 4,510 m - 03 hours journey.
After Taklakot or Purang within Tibet with complete change of environment with the local people including town and way of living, from Taklakot a holy pilgrimage begins with a scenic drive to Lake Manasarover on leaving Karnali River valley; As the drive continues over pass and then reaching a flat barren and arid country beneath massive Mt. Gurla Mandhata at 7,728 meters, from here drive leads over Thalladong pass 5,050 meters high with views of Rakshesh Lake and holy Mt. Kailash.
From the pass downhill to Chu Gompa located by the western bank of Lake Manasarover for overnight stop in a guest house or camping (depending upon the season for Indian and Tibetan pilgrims)
Day 13: Manasarover to Darchen (4600m) 53km
Rest day for acclimatization and to explore around Lake Manasarover, a holy lake located between Mt. Kailash 6,714m and the Gurla Mandhata mountain range at 7,694 m. Manasarover floats beneath the shadow of holy Kailash as the lake formed in the mind of Gods.
The best time to circle around Manasarover is in late autumn and early spring, when the streams and rivers are shallow. After a wonderful rest at holy Manasarover Lake, a short drive to popular Darchen town of the area which is also the start and end of holy Kailash circuit or kora, Darchen with hotels and guesthouses a busy place with hundreds of pilgrims during auspicious time for parikrama / kora (circumambulation).
Day 14: Drive to Tarboche via Darchen 4,600m and walk to Dhiraphuk 4,900 m - 05 hrs.
From Darchen drive leads North West at holy spot Tarboche where our walk begins with view of Kailash West Face.
Kailash stands at 6,714m, heart of ancient Shangshung kingdom supposed country of pre- Buddhist Bonpos origin. After 4 hrs walks brings you at Diraphuk Gompa for overnight stop in a simple lodge.
Day 15: Trek to Zutul-Puk 4,760m - 06 hours.
After Dhiraphuk, morning walk on nice path for an hour and then climb to reach the top at Dromo-la the highest point of Kailash walk, a holy spot at 5,470m /18,525ft. A big boulder represents goddess Dolma or Dromo (Tara) this place festooned with prayer flags. This spot is the physical and spiritual high point of pilgrimage.
From here descend to the bottoms of the hill and then walk to Zutul-Puk Gompa for overnight stop, Zuthul means cave. The place is named after a cave where poet, saint Milarepa meditated; his footprint still remains on the roof.
Day 16:Trek to near Darchen and drive to Manasarover - 06 hrs (walk and drive).
Last day of holy walk kora or parikrama, an easy morning walk of few hours on broad plain passing many prayer mani walls, then coming to a narrow valley with short section of gorge as the route turns towards west to Darchen, last leg of the walk make a dramatic exit from river valley on to the plain as walk passes to mani walls decorated with carved yak skulls.
A short walk from brings you at Darchen and end of this great trek in Tibet, from here drive to Manasarover for overnight stop.
Day 17: Manasarover to Saga (4400 m)
The road was rough and it is blacktop now and there are some rivers to cross. Wild antelope and kiang (the Tibetan wild ass) are a common sight. This is the land of the drogpa nomads and we will pass many encampments with large herds of sheep and goats. The drives are long, bumpy somewhere and often dusty but the scenery is magnificent. Photo stops are a must! Drive on to Saga Camp 4600m O/N at Camp/ Guest House
Day 18: Saga to Kyirung
After breakfast, we drive to Kerong Visit Paikutso Lake. We finally reach to Kerong Overnight at hotel.
Day 19: Kyirung to Kathmandu 150 km
Driving further to Nepal Tibet border, complete the immigration formalities, get your Nepal visa. Say good bye to your Tibetan guide and driver. You will be received by our guide from Himalayan Magic Treks and drive to Kathmandu overnight at Hotel with Breakfast
Day 20: Departure from Kathmandu to your onward destination

Upon your arrival at the airport our representatives person with a Himalayan Magic Treks (LOGO) sign board, to show you on your arrival exit gate. Who taking care of you with reception then safely drive to the hotel, Briefing about program details before going to Mountains. At the airport we cannot enter the interior of the airport because a person who doesn’t have a plane ticket is not allowed to enter.

Being homeland of Himalayas, it’s obvious to have challenging routes, dangerous weather, health issues; any of these situations is enough to ruin your trip. Leading around the steeply hills and rocky routes is not a job of common climbers and trekkers Himalayan Magic Treks have been providing native leaders and staffs working in this field perfectly since many years to overcome tough challenges and make your trip a golden memory. Our Guides are trained and well certified by the Government of Nepal. Our staffs have received proper emergency guidance and evacuation education in the Himalayas. They are also entirely aware of correct knowledge of first aid to the victims. We have never and will never compromise on the safety to our clients; therefore, we provide insurance and medical services during the trek and compensation when they needs.
To pass through challenging routes and to ensure your safety and comfort, we need adequate number of staffs. It includes guide, porter, driver, assistant guide and so on. We provide guide in every trip while one assistant guide to every 4-9 group of guests and two with every 10 crew. As for the porters, we send 1 porter for every 2 guest. The number of porter also varies to the load of the clients; a porter’s maximum load is 25 kg. Our staffs are professional and expert guides (leader) who can speak languages like English, French, Germany, Italian, Spanish, Chinese, Japanese, Korean and other as required. We can also manage any other staffs as per your demands.

Security is our primary concern from your first day you will be under our service and protection. Our staff will pick you up at the airport and will assist you to your hotel. We have proper remedial services during the trek with professional staffs and services like first aid, and we will help to arrange oxygen bag and helicopter service for emergency rescue. We also focus on acclimatization days to get rid of altitude sickness. We will take care of you on arrival to till on in your final departure date (airport drop services)
Autumn (September - November) and spring (March - May) is the best season for trekking and mountaineering in Nepal. Weather is mostly clear and temperature is moderate in these seasons which offer beautiful views without any obstruction. Spring grants you beautiful flowers, plants and rare animals. Walking is favorable during these seasons. Summer (June - August) and winter (December - February).Though summer has heavy monsoon rainfall, it is very much clearer to trek around Upper Mustang Trek, Upper Dolpo Trek and Nar Phu Valley Trek since they are rain shadow area Everest Base Camp Trek, Langtang Valley Trek , Annapurna Base Camp Trek, Rara Lake Trek, Kanchenjunga Trek, Dhaulagiri Circuit Trek, Manaslu Circuit Trek as well as Pikey peak Trek are always better to trek in winter season.
Trekking can be challenging and exhausting. So you might need some fitness training and experience for some tough trial. Nepal Trekking in Everest Base Camp does not require past experience or extreme fitness even though we have more challenging routes in different region compared to that of Everest. Trekking in Himalayas always takes us to challenging altitudes and rocky routes. You could ask for proper rest time and acclimatization to sustain your strength. Mountains can never be achieved in a day. We always provide the detail in our itinerary. However certain training like running, skipping and other workouts will definitely be beneficial in such challenging routes.
Altitude sickness is a major risk when trekking. You might experience it on any trails above 2,500 m however; good health, proper care and drinking plenty of water will definitely help you to prevent from altitude sickness. Every trekkers needs to be familiar with the heights and altitude so, for this we have life saving appropriate acclimatization days during the trek, We also provide certain medical support for your relief and emergency rescue through helicopter whenever the situation gets worse.

We collect the rubbish and dump it to the proper place to protect our environment and also appeal our clients to do the same.
