West Col 6,143 m That day will be quite outstanding and laborious, partially it goes up the last section to the Col. They stand in the midst of a fantastic arctic landscape so far the eye hands only ice-covered summits and before itself the glacier high base of the transition to the west Col after a short steep stage the glacier base is traversed and the West Col at the foot of the Baruntse Suedgrats is reached. It depends upon conditions one night must be spent here again. If Team will be tired and getting less energy should take a rest for another pass Amphu- Laptsa Way marked and with support of fixed ropes it goes over a 40-45° steep climbing about 150 meters down on the Hunku glacier. Again two hours further descent and the Baruntse Glacier 5,450 m is reached. After Amphu-Laptsa goes through Khumbu trek down till Lukla and flight out to Kathmandu
