Dhampus Peak 5,200 m climbing also called Thapa Peak climbing is technically easy and classic trekking peak in the Annapurna region of Nepal. Dhampus Peak 5,200 m is an exposed peak that-lies towards the Northeast of the Mount Dhaulagiri massif. Dhampus Peak climbing starting from the north west of Pokhara takes you through the beautiful Gurung villages, pristine forests, rivers, Mountains offering the most spectacular mountain view of the majestic mountains like Annapurna Himal range and Mt. Machapuchare (Fishtail) ranges.
Dhampus Peak climbing after you trek through the beautiful valleys and villages of Kaligandaki giving you the real taste of the rural Nepal. This peak climbing offers excellent spectacular scenery of Tukuche peak, Dhaulagiri, Annapurna South, Annapurna 1, 2, 3 & 4, Tilicho Peak, Nilgiri South & North. The trekking trail also takes you through one of the highest pass Thorong pass (5,416 m.). Dhampus Peak climbing starts from Tukuche at an altitude of (3,500 m.) following the west-ridge connecting the Dhampus pass where we set our High Camp. From high camp we approach the summit via straight forward climbing. Since the peak does not contain any steep pitches and glacier on the normal way to its summit, we don’t use fixed ropes. The use of the climbing tools depends upon the snow conditions.
