The Tamor River Rafting is adventure rafting of the Nepal and it was opened since 1990 but it is not that much well-known as like the Sunkoshi and Trishuli River rafting. It is the one of the best combination of short Himalayan trek offering a superb view of Massif Mountains regions. While moving along foothill of rhododendron forest through the exhilarating and thrill seeking adventure rafting of 129 km through the river of Tamor.
The mountain river of rafting in the Tamor River start by short flight from Kathmandu to Biratnagar then we drive to the our destination point and trek the next four day along the steep hill by enjoying the an alluring chirping sound of the birds through the lush vegetation of the thick rhododendron forest and verdant meadows towards the heart of the Eastern Nepal. During our journey along the beauty and wilderness of these thick forest where we can observe and explore the splendid view of various high Himalayas such as Mt. Makalu, Mt. Kanchenjunga etc. After arriving at rafting point we hit the water, following downstream of the most of the rapids through the first 16km are of class IV+ and challenging sharp turns.
The adventurous rafting towards the end of the river is striking as marvelous scenery, steep canyon, powerful rapid envelops the river. During the last four hour of this wild adventure as we are exiting the cascades and canyon of the mighty Sun koshi. We face continuous series of various high class rapids of phase of the trio offers us the ultimate thrill of the adventurous. Enjoying 129km white water rafting along the Tamur River we come at low land terai region of Chatara where our trip will end. Then we back towards Biratnagar and from there we can head towards Chitwan National park- Kathmandu or Pokhara.

Arrive Basantapur and prepare for trekking and camp.
Trek from Basantapur to Mangalbare about 5 hours and camp.
Trek from Mangalbare to Guphapokhari about 5 hours and camp.
Trek from Guphapokhari to Gorja about 5 hours and camp.
Trek from Gorja to Dobhan about 3 hours and camp.
Rafting starts at Tamur River. Run class 4/5 rapids and camp at Kabelidobhan.
Rafting whitewater section and camp nearby Koya River bank.
Raft down calm section and camp at Dumre.
Rafting the continues whitewater rapids of Tamor river and camp near Tribenighat
Rafting about 3 hours and finish at Chatara. Drive back to Kathmandu.
