Arun River Rafting is a Tran’s boundary river rising from Tibetan region and its major tributary towards the Saptakoshi River. Being most potent and respected river of Nepal, it enters Nepal along the South Himalayan (3,500m). It cuts along the Himalayan making stunning gorges and flows downstream following a very steep and rapid current that later concurrence with Sunkoshi River. Arun River provides approximately 37% of water to the Sapta Koshi River.
The turbulent water current and huge water volume become the Arun River site one of the best Rafting site of Nepal. Because of its rapids flow it can be technically challenging which is suitable for intermediate and advance level rafting and Kayaking. The adventurous rafting trail takes us along a remote landmark to encounter towards the toughest and fastest water current flowing downstream cutting through high Himalayas and deep gorges. This thrill rafting moving along the unique and remote landmark where we could be able to view splendid scenery encompassing high Himalayas, thick and dense forest including wide species of birds and animals.
The mountain river rafting of Arun River will begin from Tumlingtar (40 minute flight from Kathmandu). Hitting the water from here, we will raft through the cold mountain water tackling numerous turbulent rapids various cutting edge twist and turns creating around 70 km distance coverage towards the Chatara in Teria region. its rapid class ranges from medium level to high level and to complete this adventurous trail will take 5-6 days but Kayakers may complete within a just a day. But concerning on safety issue and to have a relaxed journey we recommended at least 3 days for this trail.

An hour's flight from Kathmandu to Tumlingtar takes you away from the hustle and bustle of Kathmandu. The Tumlingtar flight if scheduled in the afternoon, the camp shall be put up in Tumlingtar itself. The afternoon could be spent in visiting this tiny village with its small tea shops and airstrip. Briefing for the next day's trip in the evening.
Breakfast will normally be served at 8: 30 AM. Trek for about two hours at a gradual pace until Sabiya Khola. The briefing for the next day's schedule Get the equipment ready to start early for the following day.
Megan Besi As soon as we get on the river. From Tumlingtar, we get started at 9:30 AM after breakfast. Today is pretty smooth except for little rough ones of grade III/IV.
We come across quite a number of rapids one after another. The first encounter is a left- bend rapid, before the suspension bridge at Ranighat. A number of rapids follow after this one after another we finally camp nearby blithe rapid.
The Arun River now merges with river Sunkosi to form in to a confluence of river Saptakosi, one of the major rivers of Nepal, which further flows to merge with the famous Gange in India. Float along Saptakosi for another half an hour and we reach the site of a temple in Bara Chettra a Hindu temple dedicated to lord Vishnu. From here, float for another half an hour to Chattra Drive back to Kathmandu Overnight at star Hotel in Kathmandu.
Evening will take dinner together with Nepali Typical culture with Best Food than say Good bye.
