This trek takes you through a variety of landscapes, from lush green valleys and terraced fields to high-altitude passes and glacial terrain. The route also provides dramatic views of the Dhaulagiri Range, the Annapurna Range, and several other towering peaks, making it a photographer's paradise.

Detailed Itinerary of Dhaulagiri Circuit Trek

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,300 m)
Arrive in Kathmandu, Nepal’s vibrant capital, where you’ll meet your guide and trek members. Enjoy a cultural sightseeing tour or rest before your adventure begins.
Day 2: Drive from Kathmandu to Beni (830 m)
Drive to Beni, a town in the Myagdi District, via a scenic drive along the Prithvi Highway. This journey will take approximately 8 to 10 hours.
Day 3: Drive from Beni to Darbang (1,190 m)
Take a jeep ride from Beni to Darbang, a small village where your trekking journey begins. From here, you’ll begin walking towards the remote villages.
Day 4: Trek from Darbang to Sibang (1,700 m)
Start the trek with a climb to Sibang, passing through lush forests and terraced fields. You’ll enjoy the beautiful views of the surrounding hills and valleys.
Day 5: Trek from Sibang to Lapche Kharka (2,450 m)
As you continue your journey, trek towards Lapche Kharka, passing through villages and forested areas. The route offers amazing views of the surrounding peaks.
Day 6: Trek from Lapche Kharka to Dhaulagiri Base Camp (4,700 m)
This is one of the most challenging days of the trek, as you’ll make your way up to Dhaulagiri Base Camp, where you will be surrounded by towering glaciers and the majestic Dhaulagiri peak.
Day 7: Rest and Acclimatization Day at Base Camp
Take a day to acclimatize at Dhaulagiri Base Camp. This is essential to avoid altitude sickness as you prepare for the challenging sections of the trek.
Day 8: Trek from Dhaulagiri Base Camp to Hidden Valley (5,000 m)
This day marks the beginning of your high-altitude journey. Trek towards Hidden Valley, where you will camp among breathtaking glaciers and rugged landscapes.
Day 9: Cross French Pass (5,360 m) to Kharka
Cross the French Pass and descend to the Kharka campsite. The views from the pass are absolutely stunning and provide panoramic views of the surrounding Himalayan peaks.
Day 10: Trek from Kharka to Yak Kharka (3,680 m)
Descend from the high altitudes to Yak Kharka, where you’ll enjoy the serenity of the alpine meadows and views of Dhaulagiri’s snow-capped peaks.
Day 11: Trek from Yak Kharka to Jomsom (2,700 m)
Begin your descent to Jomsom, a popular town known for its apple orchards and beautiful surroundings. It’s a much-needed rest after the rigorous trekking days.
Day 12: Flight from Jomsom to Pokhara (820 m)
Take a short flight from Jomsom to Pokhara, a picturesque lakeside town. Spend the day exploring Pokhara’s serene beauty, with views of Machapuchare and Annapurna peaks.
Day 13: Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu
Return to Kathmandu by a scenic drive, passing through beautiful landscapes and small towns. Once in Kathmandu, enjoy a farewell dinner with your trekking team.
Day 14: Departure or Explore Kathmandu
If your flight is scheduled for this day, you can head to the airport for your departure. Alternatively, take the opportunity to explore more of Kathmandu’s cultural sites.
