I contacted Nabin just 1 month before I planned to climb Ama Dablam Expedition, a 6812 m peak in the Khumbu valley. He was the only person I contacted who answered all my questions and said he could organise what I was looking for - return flights from Kathmandu to Lukla, a porter to meet me at the airport and all the permits I need to climb the mountain, Liason officer and use of the fixed ropes.
He was very quick to respond, he gave me a break down of all the costs and was also cheaper than anyone else I contacted. When I had a problem with my bank for payment he even said I could just pay when I arrived! In the end I sorted the problem but great that he offered.
Considering that I was doing a low cost independent expedition Nabin's services were really good. He met me at the airport, had a taxi take me to my hotel and then took me to his home to talk about the expedition and his wife even made a meal for me!
Nabin is very hospitable and a very kind and friendly person. He's very organized and didn't forget anything. When I finished my climb 2 weeks early he changed the flight very quickly so I could get back to Kathmandu.
He also met me at my hotel on time to take me to the airport when I was leaving even though it was more than a week after I finished my climb and treated me to a farewell dinner.
Nabin runs a small company and I think this is what makes it so good. He deals with many things himself and adds a personal touch to everything you do while you are in Nepal. You wont regret booking any kind of activity from a few days trekking to full expedition.
Thanks for the reliable and good service Nabin!

I did a trip to the Everest three Passes and climbed Island Peak with Himalayan Magic Treks and it was amazing. Everything went very well and I have had the time of my life.
Nabin was always there to help before, while and even after the trip. He sent his friend and experienced mountain guide Chiiri Rai with me. He is such a good person, always friendly, good for a talk about nature and culte and very professional as well.
I will definitley come back.

We organised the trip before coming to Nepal and Nabin and his team created a faultlessly efficient and great experience! From meeting us at the airport upon our arrival to providing us with a great guide and porter, we had a wonderful trekking experience and would recommend Himalayan Magic Treks to anyone thinking of coming to Nepal!

Nabin runs a great trekking company, I had no issues at all with anything as far as Himalayan Magic Treks, and would book with them again without even shopping around.
We did a two-person trek to the Everest Region to go for the 3-passes route, and had a great time. Nabin hired us an excellent guide and porter, personnel who went above and beyond for us, and who were more than experienced enough to guide us to new heights through the challenging and potentially dangerous sections of our chosen routes.
All in all, I was very satisfied with Himalayan Magic Treks, and their great service from pickup and the Kathmandu airport until the final drop-off at the end. They were knowledgeable, helpful, and adaptable to any plan changes

For trekking in the Everest region in October 2018, we (couple 55/51) choose Himalayan Magic Treks (HMT). International flights and accommodation in Kathmandu we arranged on our own. HMT took care of domestic flights to/from Lukla, overnight lodging during the trek (15 days), guide, porter, all meals and several extras.
HMT is a private owned company originating in the districts of Solokhumbu (Sagarmatha Nationalpark). They provide superior service with excellent value for money.
This company understands what their customers want. Immediately upon first contact and during the preparation phase they responded always quickly and individually. Initial briefing before the trek as well as a feedback meeting afterwards were done by the director Nabin himself. Our guide Krishna has profound knowledge of all aspects concerning his country, nature, wildlife, mountains, people and todays living in Nepal. Our porter Gonga was very reliable and always available when needed.
Due to health problems after the first of three high passes we requested to change our program. Thanks to the flexibility of HMT they reorganized everything without hassle and no additional cost incurred. They also managed certain flight irregularities very smoothly and in favor of their clients.
For anyone considering doing trekking in Nepal we would highly recommend to choose Himalayan Magic Treks. Individual treatment and capabilities are outstanding.
If life permits we will share another bowl of hot potatoes one day.

We just returned from a Jiri to Thame trek with 4 children under 7 years old, organized by Himalayan Magic Treks, and of our 6 trips to Nepal, this was by far the best. Krishna Karki is by far the most conscientious and effective guide of the 6 we've used, and the porter team he and Nabin put together was extraordinarily good, again the best we've ever worked with. Our group was a challenge, because we had porters carrying young children, but each porter bonded with the children and became like surrogate parents, earning the trust and love of each of our children. We recommend Himalayan Magic Treks unequivocally, and plan to use them on all treks in the future. Don't hesitate to book with them!

We did the Base Camp and Kala Patthar trip last month and it was just perfect! Absolutely no complaints. The agency and everyone involved did everything they could to make our journey the best one possible. We loved the country and are already planning another visit to Nepal next year. Of course we are going with Himalayan Magic Treks!

Thanks to Himalayan Magic Treks I could successfully reach the Everest Base Camp and Kalapathar. They took care of me at any time and I enjoyed sharing explanations about the Himalayan mountains with the guide. We visited some local houses where I could tase deepest the way of leaving of the people from the mountains in Nepal.
I could share also a nice dinner with typical Nepali dances in Kathmandu with the team.
I appreciate that even after the trek, they help me in Kathmandu when I was sick.

Thank you Himalayan Magic Treks for an incredible trip. I did the 17 day Everest Base Camp + Gokyo Cho-la Pass Trek. Nabin welcomed us warmly on our arrival to Kathmandu and did everything he could to help us get ready for the trek. The trek itself was AMAZING! I am so glad we went to Gokyo as well as Everest Base Camp as the views from Gokyo Ri were by far the most stunning views I have ever seen in my life. Sadly, we were unable to do the Cho-La Pass as I was starting to feeling the effects of the altitude, however, our guide Sitaram made sure that we found another route to get us safely to Everest Base Camp. Sitaram did everything he could to make sure we were safe and happy at all times during the trek.
Himalayan Magic Treks were recommended to me by a friend and now I too would happily recommend them anyone thinking about trekking in Nepal.

My friend and I travelled to Nepal over Christmas to trek the 17 day Everest Base Camp + Cho La Pass + Gokyo Lake route with Himalayan Magic. Everything was spot on, from the organisation pre-departure, collection at airport (despite flight delays!) and our stay in Kathmandu. Nabin accompanied us around the city to hire kit we needed, and we met our guide, Sitaram, at the hotel the day before we left for the mountains. The trek was brilliant, our guide and porter were excellent - with great knowledge of the mountains and route, accommodation and this enabled the flexibility to allow our trek to suit us. I can't recommend highly enough Nabin, his company and employees. Having seen the effects of altitude sickness on trekkers, it is so important to have a guide and company you can rely on to support you if you get sick, and I completely trusted the organisation and efficiency shown by Himalayan Magic. If I travel to Nepal again, I will definitely trek with Nabin again!

As a celebration for my 40th birthday, we (me, my wife and four other friends) decided to venture through the EBC-Gokyo trek last November. It was a memorable journey and we couldn't thank Nabin, Krishna, Phuri, Kumar and everybody else at Himalayan Magic Treks enough. Nabin made all the arrangements seem easy from Kathmandu, there was not a single request we made it was not possible to adjust. Krishna was a very reliable and knowledgeable leader at the mountain and back at the lodges always dedicated to provide us with the best possible comfort. Phuri and Kumar were also fantastic, very helpful, responsible, they really took care of all of us. Besides all this, and as important as, they were very, very good friends. I miss you guys, and miss our daily trekking routine, I miss Nepal. Thanks you so much.

Itinerary: Kathmandu, Lukla, Phakding , Namche Bazar, Khumjung, Lukla, Chaurikharka, Bupsa, Basa (volunteering), Phaplu, Sete, Kenja, Deurali, Jiri, Kathmandu. (I need to check these against my notes )
My experience:I decided to go to Nepal on a bit of a whim. My good friends Suzanne and George had convinced me that I would love it and that the people at Himalayan Magic Treks were the best to help me plan my trip. Everyone (including me!) was surprised when I decided on September 2 to leave on September 22!I e-mailed Himalayan Magic Treks and by the next morning I had received an itinerary, including a guide and a porter and a week of teaching English in the remote village of Basa had been arranged. I confirmed my flights with Gopal and he assured me that my guide was the best (his son, Gadjendra), my porter was the best (their good friend, Gaurab). The guide, porter, accommodations, meals and coffee were all included in the price.
When I arrived at the airport in Kathmandu I was tired and a bit nervous, but as soon as I stepped out the airport doors, Gopal and Gadjendra were there to welcome me! Not only did they have a garland of flowers and a Himalayan Magic Treks sign, they also had a car and driver waiting and a hotel and dinner booked. From those first hours, when I took a warm shower in Kathmandu and had a nice dinner with Gopal, I felt confident that I would be well taken care of. Little did I know how well!
During the entire duration of this amazing trip, I was never asked to pay for any lodging or food during the hikes. Gadjendra discreetly and effectively took care of all the negotiations, bookings, last minute changes to my itinerary, ordering meals and even tea and coffee. Gaurab took my bag up to my room at every new tea house and picked it up in my room at every departure. Gaurab and Gadjendra never let me out of their sight unless I was happily chatting with a friend of theirs or had retired to my room. On the trails they made sure that we stayed together. In contrast to other tourists, who relied on their maps and good senses, we never got lost. When we arrived in Basa, I was warmly welcomed by my hosts and their children as well as by the school and the community. Needless to say that our arrival had been tracked along the trails of the Himalaya for a few days!
At the school I soon found that these beautiful children would learn very little from me without some help from an interpreter. Gadjendra was amazing! We gave classes together and, to a very large extent, he spent as much energy and time as I did – both in the classroom and in preparations. The trek out of the Himalaya, from Basa to Jiri was as sad as it was wonderful. By then Gadjendra, Gaurab and I were good friends. We had fun hiking and we took a lot of pictures! We hung our numerous prayer scarves on bridges and near stupas at the top of the trails.
We arrived in Jiri in the rain and were told by many tourists that it was impossible to get a bus to Kathmandu, but by then I was confident in Himalayan Magic Treks ability to do anything. Within an hour, Gadjendra and Gaurab had us booked in a compact van to Kathmandu at 6 am the next day. A much smoother ride than in the big crowded busses!
In Kathmandu, Gopal met us at the (very nice!) hotel and invited me to eat at his home. Gadjendra - who must have been exhausted by then! – came with me back to Tamil district to shop for souvenirs and ensure that I got the best deals. We then all went to dinner at a traditional Nepalese restaurant.
Gopal and Gadjendra were even there to see me off at the airport at 7 the next morning. My heart was heavy as I boarded the plane and still is more than a week later.
Without Gadjendra I would have experienced Nepal as an isolated outsider miming my way to ensuring my survival. With his patient, gracious and generous help, I was able to be a guest in local family homes, sit around the fire and listen to grandmothers and grandfathers tell stories and give advice. I was able to play with the kids and have very enriching conversations with community leaders. With Gadjendra as a tireless interpreter and cultural guide, I made a lot of friends!
By the end of my time in Basa my heart was full of these bright children’s laughter and smiles. I had learnt a few words of Nepali and they had learnt (to their credit) an impressive amount of English. I felt like Basa had let me in and shared a part of its self with a clumsy tourist. To know the magic of Nepal, you have to have been there. It would not be fair of me to try to explain the wind, the cucumbers, the children playing, the cool clear night sky or the fireflies. Nor could I ever do justice to the sight of a snowy peak at the end of a long climb or to the sound of clear rushing rivers roaring under a foot bridge.
To have been there is to carry Nepal in your heart.
Thanks to Himalayan Magic Treks I had a life-changing experience in Nepal. I will never forget the new friends I made and I will forever be grateful to Gadjendra, Gaurab and Gopal for making it all happen!
Danyabad!

We did the EBC trekking with HImalayan Magic Treks. We´ve talked with Nabin, the owner, many many times for arraging everything. We must say that he commited with all the details for our trekking. We answered every mail, he fullfilled and ever exceed our expectations.
The trekking is awesome, the views, people, the experience itself is highly recommended.
We hired porter and guided. And it was a very good choice.
If I were back in EBC I wouldn´t hesitate to ask Himalayan Magic Treks, again for their service!
Thanks Nabin for everything!!!

I did the EBC trek with Himalayan Magic Trek in March 2017. After searching through a few trekking companies I decided to go with Himalayan Magic Treks mainly because they seemed like a serious company (doing both treks and expeditions) but also because of the timely replies from Nabin via email and the flexibility they offered in tailoring a trip around my tight work schedule. Also the prices they offered were highly competitive compared to other local companies.
My guide for the trip was Krishna Karki who happened to be Nabin’s brother. From the day I arrived at Kathmandu airport he was in charge of looking after my well-being and ensuring that the company delivered on what we had arranged. He accompanied me on the entire trekking trip from Kathmandu to Lukla and took care of all matters related to the trek from lodging to food. Krishna speaks fluent English (and French apparently) so there were no issues with communication and he was very helpful in answering my many questions about Nepal and the Himalayan mountain range. Also, it was easy to strike up a conversation about other topics just as you would with any tourist you met on the trail. I had the misfortune of acquiring a respiratory infection on my trip and Krishna was very attentive to me and closely monitored my health even offering the age-old mountain remedy of garlic soup to help with my altitude sickness. Overall, I felt safe and well taken care of during the trip and have absolutely no complaints.
During the hike we stayed at guesthouses along the route to EBC. Apart from Lobuche and Gorak shep which have few options, are usually overcrowded with people and have basic amenities, the other guesthouses that we stayed in were very comfortable. Not only were the toilets clean (by Nepali standards) but the food was surprisingly good.
This was my first trip to Nepal and after the memorable experience which I had I will definitely return to explore the other mountain ranges. Without any hesitation, I would choose Himalayan Magic Treks again.

We are a couple from London who did a trip to Nepal to visit Sagamartha National Park with Mt. Everest and the Annapurna region afterwards. For the longer Khumbu valley trek we booked a trip with Himalayan Magic Treks, which had been recommended by a friend at home. As expected Himalayan Magic Trek organised a superb trip for us. Nabin, the director of the business is very helpful and was extremely responsive and clear by email. When we met in Kathmandu he was very professional and super nice. Our guide Ang Phuri was great too, and so strong! During the trek it was like we had a friend come along, he is a sweet guy.
He picked great teahouses to stay for us, which were comfy and run by bubbly owners, which make you feel like home. The food was very good and we had no problems during our stay in Nepal. Nabin and his team really went out of their way to make sure we had a good time. We were delayed in Lukla and when back in Kathmandu Nabin helped us getting re-organised with pick-up, accommodation and change of flights, which wasn't originally part of the plan.
It made it all so much easier and it was like we had a good friend helping us. We so hope we get a chance to return to Nepal anytime soon to see other regions and will book with Himalayan Magic Trek again for sure. It would be great to see Nabin and the team again. Nepal is a stunning country and the people are as nice as the country is beautiful. Vincent & Sanjana

If you are looking to travel to Nepal to explore a glimpse of the Himalayas, look no further than Himalayan Magic Treks. They cannot be rated highly enough.
As a solo female traveller, who decided to organise a last minute trek to Everest Base Camp, I could not have chosen more wisely.
From beginning to end, Mr. Nabin was consistent and considerate, always replying in detail and with speed. I had all of my questions answered before ever meeting him.
Upon arrival, I was greeted at the airport by 3 males, Mr. Nabin (organizer), Guide, and driver. Despite being a solo female, I never once felt unsafe and very welcomed!
If you are blessed enough to have a guide as half as wonderful as mine, Mr. BD. You are in for a trip of a lifetime. Patient, friendly and extremely knowledgeable! It was just BD and I trekking alone which I was slightly apprehensive of at the beginning, but he was so professional and genuine that I enjoyed every minutes of our time together.
They are a 5 star company with 5 star staff.
You won't be disappointed if you chose to travel with them!

We did a trek to Everest Base Camp with Himalayan Magic Treks in Nov 2016. We had lots of questions beforehand and Nabin was very quick to respond, and was very friendly in emails. He picked us up from the airport, and helped us find sleeping bags and down jackets for hire the next morning!
The price for the trek was reasonable - they were much cheaper than with the big international tour companies, and we had an English-speaking guide (Krishna) and a porter. They were brilliant on the trek, and Krishna helped us get the best rooms in the teahouses with the best views. They are accommodating so can tailor the trip however you want it. Krishna took care of things and even when we changed plans (due to a bit of altitude sickness), he and Nabin arranged alternative plans which allowed us to see some nice little villages and spend some relaxing time at the lower altitudes.
The Himalayas region is absolutely breathtaking, and we had a very memorable trek with Himalayan Magic Treks.
