Namaste!

We chose, again HMT for this trip, because our last treks with this agency went beautifully. After a night in Pokara, we took the plane towards Jomson, and from there, we left on foot in the direction of Kagbeni, gateway to the kingdom of Mustang. Our team consisted of the Sitaram guide, the best of the Himalayas! and two porters, Prakash, (iron man) and shamboo with a broad smile. We progressed slowly up Mustang, through Samar, Gheling, Ghami, Tsarang, towards Lo Mantang the capital of the Kingdom. Thanks to Sitaram, we had the chance to visit some caves that serve as hermitage for some Lama, something that would have been impossible to do without him, thank you again a thousand times for his very professional services! The Mustang paths are quite different from those of the classic Nepal treks. Fewer tourists, high altitude in general, drier, dusty, filled with silence and spirituality. Villages like Yara, Tsarang, allow you to discover many ancient temples, several centuries old and still in perfect condition, filled with wonderful paintings and exceptional murals, we were lucky to be able to visit many, thanks to Sitaram, something impossible without him, I thank him again warmly! Then we arrived at Lo Mangtang, a true medieval gem, in the heart of a high plateau at 3800 meters, where we stayed for two days for acclimatization. We visited former cave hermitages, but this time without the monks. Then, we left, under the snow, towards Yara, famous for its high perched hermitages, to get closer to our highest destination, the Damodar Kunda at 5400 meters. After finding the sun, we made a first camp around 4800 meters, because the long climb to the Damodar Kunda represents a walk, round trip of more than 6 hours. The climb is very gradual, but the altitude is quickly felt, and the steps become more and more slow. But what a delight to be at the top, and to see, in the distance the Annapurna chain and also the Dhaulaghiri, fantastic 8000 meters very impressive! Then, we went back down to the camp, for a cold night in the tent, warm in our altitude sleeping bags. And then it was the return, to Yara and the slow descent to Charang, Shyamboche, Chusang and finally Muktinath, holy city, exit door of Mustang and return route from the Annapurna trek. After Mukthinath, we found the flow of trekkers and the bustle of the world, but we will keep the memories of these Hindu pilgrims who bathed in the freezing water of the glaciers, almost naked, in the morning around 7 am! incredible vision! then it was the return to Jomson, for the last step before the morning flight to Pokkara. We will keep the memory of the flight of large vultures above 5000 meters for a long time, the beauty of the preserved temples, the friendliness of the mustangi people and the fantastic landscapes of the lower and upper Mustang, as well as the spiritual strength of the pilgrims of Mukthinath! And finally, thank again the professionalism of the teams of HMT, Sitaram, Prakash, Shamboo and the boss Nabin Karki because without them, the trip would have been very different, they would be warmly thanked here, and, needless to say, the next trek will be with them, once again, for our greatest pleasure! thanks to them all!

We have had a wonderful trekking experience in lower Mustang. We can warmly recommend the trip arranged by Nabin the owner of Himalayan magic treks. At First Nabin picked us up from Airport with beautiful marigold flowers with warm welcome, it makes me impressed and He speak with lovely smile all the time and explain all the program correctly just in front of us and Guide to be clear our trip agreement during our staying in Nepal and he choose excellent Hotel in center of Thamel and actually we have few extra nights Hotel before leaving our Home Denmark but we felt his choice Hotel is suite and well comfortable and we keep continue stay few more days. We enjoyed the best services from our excellent guide Kanchha and our porter Raj, who were always concerned with our needs and wishes.
Even though we trekked in the monsoon season we only had heavy rain one half of the trekking days.Sometimes on the trekking paths is was a bit cloudy, which gave the opportunity to experience the forest as an enhanced forest like in the fantasy movies (such as Harry Potter and Lord Of The Rings) when the weather cleared the most amazing views were visible with snow-covered mountains, desserts, rivers and the wild life. All in all a wonderful trekking experience. We are very happy with all professional Team of HMT and strongly recommend this Company to take their services and punctual time for those programs. We can’t Thanks enough for Nabin and his Team

My friend Andreas (Germany) and I (Australia) arranged this trek by emails from our relative countries. Nabin was very prompt with replies and explained in detail what was included, various costs and offered suggestions and improvements to our proposed itinerary. The total cost for the combined treks (23 days) was very reasonable.
Nabin was also aware that I was 68 years of age and my friend 58 years and we needed some flexibility with our schedule depending on our fitness level / performance on the trek.
Nabin was very professional and helpful throughout the planning process. By the time we arrived at Kathmandu we had already formed a great relationship. Nabin introduced us to our guide and porter and we discussed day to day details of our trek. Nabin helped us exchange money and purchase trek equipment in Kathmandu before leaving on the trek.
Our guide, Kumar Rai, and porter, Ashok Rai, were a delight to be with.
Kumar had a great knowledge of Nepal history, historical and current politics and religion; and of course an intimate knowledge of the various regions we trekked through. Andreas and I learnt a lot about Nepal from Kumar.
Young Ashok was ever helpful, cheerful and even assisted as a guide at various rest stops so we could explore local areas of interest.
Kumar ensured we had suitable teahouse lodges each night. During the trek Kumar coordinated our breakfast, lunches and dinners with a schedule that was comfortable and relaxed. Kumar was attentive to our personal needs and monitored our wellness throughout the trek. On one occasion Kumar assisted me when I was struggling with mild AMS and fatigue and insisted on carrying my backpack (much to my embarrassment).
Andreas and I trekked in the month of October 2018 and were blessed with perfect weather. We trekked through jungles, rhododendron forests, past snow capped mountain peaks, past waterfalls and crossed countless streams, spotted wildlife (Langur monkeys, yak, wild pigs) and experienced mountain village life.
Andreas and I became good friends with Kumar and Ashok (now Facebook friends) on the trek. The camaraderie between us added to the success of our trek. In fact we even had several other trekkers ask if they could join our group because they saw the great relationship we had with Kumar and Ashok and obviously the fun we were enjoying.

We took on Nabin to help organise our trek and he did a fantastic job. From the moment we started corresponding, he always replied promptly and in great detail. When we decided on a trek, everything was organised supremely. Picked up at the airport, hotels, transport and a great guide and porter. Shankar and Hith Kumar were patient, humorous and professional during our 12 day trek through Langtang, Gosaikund and Helambu. We had an unforgettable trek. Many thanks to all involved.

I was in April 2009 with Nabin, twelve days on a tour in the Helambu area and after wards for six days in the Everest region. To me, both of this trips were unforgettable experiences with many mountainside locations of such an unbelievable peace and beauty, hardly to be described or even imaginable. His expertly founded guidance led us almost every time to the just perfect places to stay or to take a rest. The magnificence of the stunning views and his friendliness. I will always keep in my heart. Due to him it makes me smile brightly, whenever I am thinking of Nepal. Nabin has a profound knowledge from any tours in Nepal and into the surrounding countries. He speaks a pure, clearly, easy to understand English, many of the local languages and dialects and - if necessary - French as well. His excellent education and his remarkable life experience enabled us to lead many interesting conversations that will always find in my memory a truly, well deserved place. Should you be interested in getting an in-depth knowledge about life in Nepal and to see all the famous places as well as sites located of the beaten track I am able to strongly recommend Nabin as a Tour Guide for any enterprises you are planning to take.

I recently got back from doing the Manaslu circuit trek with Himalaya Magic Treks and can't recommend them enough. It's a family run business and they really do all they can to make you feel as welcome as possible, looking after you every step of the way. Everything was taken care of from the second you landed until departure. For anyone looking into trekking in the Himalayas look no further than HMT. Special thanks to Sitaram, Nabin & Bom for making me so welcome.

I really wanted to see with my own eyes the flowering rhododendron forests of Nepal. The discovery of Nepal this year opened, one might say, a unique opportunity to make trekking in the mountains of Nepal without crowds of tourists. Complete unity with nature! Such a chance cannot be missed! To organize our trip, we chose the Himalayan Magic Treks agency and chose Annapurna Khayer Trek Very beautiful track among the flowering rhododendron forests. We were accompanied by a very friendly and caring guide Krishna! Very satisfied with the trip and very pleased with the choice of the agency. Highly recommend a trip to Nepal with Himalayan Magic Treks. A unique opportunity to get an almost individual trip for very little money, and the Himalayas are beautiful in any season and are waiting for you! You can get comprehensive answers to all questions about traveling to Nepal by writing to Nabin, the head of Himalayan Magic Treks by E-mail: info@himalayanmagictreks.com You can get acquainted with the routes on the agency's website

We had an excellent trip with Himalayan Magic Treks (HMT) in December, organised by Nabin and led by Krishna. We chose HMT after emailing our travel dates and a rough plan to five trekking companies, and Nabin's response was the best - he'd put together an itinerary that perfectly matched the dates and places we wanted to see. We also found HMT and Nabin on the TAAN website showing HMT is a registered trekking company, which was reassuring.
We organised using email and it generally went well, the only issue was where $30 went missing when paying the deposit. Turns out if you are paying £GBP to Nepal (in $USD) the 'Agency' bank in America will take a large cut - something to be aware of if you are making a similar payment.
We were met at the airport and got to the hotel quickly and without fuss (airport wasn't quick but that's another story) and had a half-day tour with a very engaging guide. The next day we were on our way to the Annapurna ranges for a 15 day trek that took us from Besi Sahar to Tilicho Lal and over the Thorong La, down to Tatopani and over Poon Hill (an excellent itinerary, we drove the stint from Muktinath to Ghasa due to time constraints).
Krishna was an excellent guide, although not a 'cultural' guide (i.e. fluent in English and someone to talk you through everywhere you visit. This would cost more, ask if you are interested, we weren't aware beforehand this was an option). He arranged everything including accommodation, meals (always made sure we were fed promptly and even helped the chef!), and the route, meaning we had very little to do apart from enjoy the amazing scenery, absorb the culture and get some miles under the belt (from 5 - 8 hours normally, a couple of longer days) while our porter Nara ably took care of our luggage. Krishna was also very aware of safety and AMS; he walked with us when things got tricky and gave us space when we wanted to do our own thing.
We made a couple of suggestions about the route (e.g. avoiding the road) but found we did have to ask for it, otherwise we'd follow the path of least resistentce. Unless the request wasn’t possible, Krishna was more than happy to oblige, but we did have to be proactive.
The trek was during winter and we were very lucky with weather and a lack of snow (crossed Thorong La between Christmas and NYE), but it was very cold - intensely so at times. The sleeping bags provided were amazing. The lodges do vary in quality a lot at that time of year - frozen pipes mean no running water and no showers, but we could get a bucket of warm water to wash. Krishna used pre-determined tea houses, which were always of decent quality, but this meant that if they were struggling with winter or something was broken we couldn't look for somewhere better for that night; they were also often very quiet and we were the only people there, which is good and bad but it would have been nice to stay with more fellow trekkers (doubt this would be an issue in summer!). In saying that, we never got sick once, so the kitchen hygiene must have been excellent (plus we used drops for drinking water).
Some highlights - getting a local bus, as 'tourist' busses were hard to come by during the ongoing fuel problems; the locals were very friendly, curious and we loved giving our own plot lines to the Nepali films they played. Dal Bhat - could not get enough. It's what they cook for themselves, eat it! Scenery - Gangapurna glacier, the climb to Thorong La, Dhaulagiri+Annapurna+Machhapuchhre+Manaslu from Poon Hill, the Kali Gandaki gorge. World class views day after day...
Thanks Nabin, Krishna and Nara for an amazing trip!

I have spent 8 days on Annapurna Panorama Trek with my tour guide Sitaram in March this year. This was my first trip to Nepal.
Although we did not hike high the trek was quite challenging at times due to steep ascents. We trek 5-6 hours daily and take our time while trekking. I really enjoyed the weather, cicadas in jungle (never heard them before), blooming rhododendrons and all sorts of small and big animals including eagles J Multiply it by an extraordinary scenery, good companionship and few people on the trail and you do not want to leave this place. Although there was only me and Sitaram on the trip we did not feel bored. At evenings we sit and chat with other people who stayed at the same tea houses as us. Tea houses offer variety of different dishes, we stick to Dal Bhat and lemon tea mostly J
I am grateful to Sitaram for having spent time with me and showing me a bit of Nepal. I know that this was not my last trip to Himalayas and I hope to go there again after the monsoon season.
I was a marvellous trip and I am looking forward to come back soon.

Most people who do trekking in Nepal want to visit between September to October due to the weather condition, and people do not recommend to visit Nepal during the Monsoon season. However, it was very impressive to visit Nepal and do Poonhill trekking during the Monsoon. Firstly, I could enjoy the tranquility and the peaceful atmosphere during the entire trekking. There was only me and my guide in the lodge mostly. Thus, there was no disturbance or noise. Secondly, there was plenty of chances to see the mountain scenery during the trekking. For me, I could not see any high peaks during the trekking or in the lodge on 1st and 2nd day due to the thick foggy weather. However, from the 3rd day, weather got better and could see the beautiful mountain peaks. I recognize that this solely depends on one person's luck, and this made me more grateful and got impressed. Lastly, due to the my kind guide and coordinator, I could finish the trekking program safely and gladly. From the contact to the departure from Nepal, this travel agency took care me with the hospitality, and if there was any immediate request, they tried to take an action as quickly as possible. So I recommend this small but warm travel agency.

We had the best trip with HMT and our guide Sitaram. Good at english and good at reading his costumers and their needs!
We had a 5 day trek around Poon Hill, Ghorepani and Tadapani. Beautiful views around the himalaya mountains.
This is the second time we use this company and once again we had such a good time and I would definately choose this company for our next trip in Nepal.

I’ve just came back from ABC trekking. To me, it is the best trek ever!. I’m impressed in such amazing scenery (ABC and Poonhill), good weather, nice people, good food (esp. pizza and French toast), good accommodations (Fish tail lodge at MBC and Chomrong Mountain View lodge at Chomrong are one of my favorite lodges) and especially well-organized tour (the Himalayan Magic Treks).
Our group has 17 members and fortunately everybody can successfully reach the ABC without any injuries or sickness. Reaching the ABC to me is not just a dream anymore. If you want to escape from somewhere, I do recommend Nepal. There you could find new inspiration by your own pace.
I would like to thank all my trekking friends for sharing this wonderful moment together and thank our guides (Dipak, Kris, and Bhupa) and all the porters from the Himalayan Magic Treks for your kind support and cheering along the way. Without you guys, my way to ABC could be very tough.

#1 Company in Nepal After few emails with Nabin, owner of Himalayan Magic Treks . We finally booked our trip with Himalayan Magic Treks before coming to Nepal and the process was faultless from the very beginning. We tailored a trek that suited us and our dates. We went to Poon Hill and ABC in 9 days program. Which is made by Nabin and his suggestion was absolutely perfect for us. We are very lucky to got contact this company from internet and Nabin answered promptly so it makes me 100 % trust this Company with his details information.
The tea houses we stayed in looked better than some of the other accommodation available. The guide and porters spoke excellent English and were very easy to speak with. They were keen to learn more and were very knowledgeable on the route and answered all of our questions. Their good humour allowed a sufficient amount of banter between our group which made it very enjoyable. They were always offering to help with any problems. In contrast, other guides and groups from other companies looked far worse. Magic Treks' were far better kitted out and professional than all the other guides and porters we saw. A level of professionalism that made us feel more at ease.
Going in wet season we had expected poor weather but were very lucky and got amazing views of at ABC despite not having been to Poon Hill because of poor weather.
Overall, Himalayan Magic Treks were professional and reasonable in price. If/when I return to Nepal I would only consider using them. A brilliant company and one sure to make your trip to Nepal amazing

Great organization, professionalism and client-oriented attitude are staples of Himalayan Magic Treks. From the very beginning until the last minutes I had only the best experience. This was my first trip to Nepal and Asia in that matter (I am from Poland) and one of the greatest experiences of life so far. And it confirmed my opinion that no matter the place - it is people who make all the difference and make the time spent worthwhile.
The contact with HMT was smooth from the very first email. After three back and forth messages I had all the information I needed. The replies from Mr Nabin were timely and on the point. I went for classic Annapurna Base Camp Trek + Poon Hill and never regretted my choice. I found the price very reasonable.
In Kathmandu MHT helped me exchange money, showed directions and arranged my visit to The Great Buddha Stupa which amazes with its architecture, colors and melding of two big religions.
My guide, Mr Sitaram, who also picked me from the airport and greeted with flowers on the first day, was a very experienced, friendly and a helpful person. He was also a very amusing guy and we clicked quickly. He was always able to answer my many questions about Nepal and was adjusting the speed of walking to compensate for photo opportunities (photography freak here) or fatigue. He also advised me on appropriate clothing for the weather conditions and helped me with food choices. I let Mr Sitaram choose the places for lunches and lodges for nights confident that I will always get the best local cuisine and good room. He never failed me once. Please remember though that the rooms are far from hotel standards but great comforts are not the point of treks.
December for me was a great time for trekking since there are less tourists on the trail and the temperatures are still ok.
The Nepal is amazing! From the glorious gleaming peaks robed in eternal snow, through the waterfalls scattered throughout the landscape to jungle-like forests inhabited by exotic animals (monkeys are here!) the country grips you with it's allure and let's you go only until the last moment. Smiling people are always eager to help, although older people rarely speak good English. Amazing experience overall.
I will be returning to Nepal next year but this time I won't have to wonder which trekking company to choose :)
BIG THANKS

Our group of 6 did the ABC trek in mid November.
One of our friends corresponded with Nabin who's very fluent in English. The arrangement was smooth and he's prompt in responding to our queries.
We were greeted with garlands of flower hanged on our heads at the airport. Great hospitality.
They've helped us settled down quickly and brought us to rent good quality sleeping bags and down jackets at a very good price.
We had a guide and a porter assigned to each pair.
The guide, Kumar, arranged the lodging and pace the group on the go and he is flexible to adapt to the changes/challenges we faced in the mountain. He is also experienced enough to advise on the less dangerous route while making our way down.
On two occasions, our porters "fly" to the next lodge/tea after unfruitful calls from the guide to book our rooms. They ensured that we always have a good room despite during this high season.
Like what Kumar always emphasized: "we are like a family in this trek. anything, can happen in the mountains. We'll have to adapt."
Nabin is also very warm and sincere in welcoming us and closing everything off with a farewell dinner. It was really a good experience with Himalayan magic treks and they made us felt comfortable. We felt the sincerity from all.
Nabin and Kumar also helped me with a side request of getting chilli :))

Me and my friends made our first visit to Nepal last December, We choose ABC as our destination. For a people who are not so strong and well prepared like us, have to say that a well-organized from Nabin help us a lot to go up there.
My first impression with HMT is that, when we inquire for the trip, Nabin is very supportive and flexible in trip customization. And when we got there, we got a warm welcome from Nabin and his team. He’s friendly and sincere to support you. You can tell that he love what he’s doing when you met him there.
During our trek, our guide, Krishna, is so reliable and really calm, even we go with an annoyingly slow pace, He have a very good English, and a good story about Nepal to share with you along the way. Porters is nice and supportive. It’s a good experience to trek with them.
Too bad I can’t finish the trip since I have to evacuate from ABC by helicopter, but since I start to get injured, I got a very good support from Nabin and Krishna in contacting to the insurance company, to make sure that the helicopter take me to a good hands. Thanks to that too.
In short, It’s a very good experience with me to trek to ABC with HMT
Strongly recommend if you are looking for a good friend in Nepal !!
