Rupina –La (5,200m) trek is challenging, daredevil, difficult trekking route that located in the Lower Manaslu region of the Gorkha district. This route was officially opened for tourist since 1991 AD. Following though this trail gives us chance to observe the geographically panoramic view and unbeaten trail of the Manaslu. This trekking trail takes us to the round trip of the mountain ranges of Manaslu i.e.  Peak 29 (7,871m), Himal Chulu(7,893m) and Boudha(6,672m). The trail include many villages, these are inhabited by Gurungs and provides us to explore the remarkable culture, their tradition and their life style. Rupina la trek is enrich in its green rhododendron, pine forest, uncommonly change geographical terrain and give us a spectacular view of the Himalayan scenery, rivers, waterfalls, beautiful landscape, lush valleys and wide range of animals and birds.

Rupina la-pass trek will begins from the Darundikhola passes the Rupina-La passes and Larkye-Pass(5,250m) then descend along the Marshyangdi River, down to Besisahar then we ends at Gorkha. Rupina La pass trek ramble around the area of Manaslu conservation that is a restricted area. To enter this trekking trail needs certain permission and formalities are to be required which is provided by the Government of Nepal.

We commence Rupina La Pass trek from Arughat Bazaar which is an old market near to the bank of the Budhi Gandaki River. Following through our trekking trail, we make series of ascend and descend from gentle hill along the bank of Gandaki River to SotiKhola. Heading from Sotikhola we move along the bank of river pass, various villages, green hills to Machhakhola, most of the path to Machhakhola conclude almost flat leveled terrain. Then we travel along the Gomna, via Jagat to Surtibas which is an easy but the trail becomes pretty rough and difficult to travel upward. This travail offers us splendid view of various green hills as well as mountains like Shringihimal and Ganesh Himal from Gomna. We slowly and regularly make our way to Rupina La Phedi(4,643m0 along the route of Jarang Path laying  at the wilderness of thick pine forest. This forest is the home of various kinds of animals like black bear, snow leopard, grey wolf and many other birds. This trekking trail further head to Rupinala pass (4,720m) along ascend from la phedi to Bhedi Odar(5,150m). We make a difficult climb up the seep and rocky hill to Bhedikhara(5,225m) to the Dudh Pokhari(5,390m).

Rupina la area Trekking Dudha Pokharai(Milk pound) is a pilgrimage site which is momentous among the Buddhist and Hindus. This place is the best trip to view various Mountains in Manaslu range; we can have extraordinary view of various named and unnamed mountain as far as to the Annapurna region from Dudh Pokhari. Finally, we begin descending along the steep hills and moves towards Ningalaghari (4,590m) Chyadi dada (3,600m), enjoying the tranquil path of the forest and green hills. After, arriving at the village of Tonje where, we could be able to enjoy various traditional, culture programs of the local inhabitants. Then we slowly move ahead to the end of our trek. Our wonderful trekking trail of Rubin-la pass ends, when we arrive at Besisahar along the path of Duwar

Accommodations:

We give our first priority to our guest to serve them at superior level that is what making us today Himalayan Magic Treks. For the accommodation we have been providing star hotels in Katmandu and even normal guest house according to the guest demands and need. During the trek we provide standard Guest House with sound environment and hygienic food for the guest to make their trip happening and healthy. Being one of the rising destination in the world Manaslu region collecting many tourist. so, there obviously better Lodge and facilities in compared to previous times. Since, Rupina La pass Trek is camping trek we provide comfortable dining, kitchen, crew, restroom tents and sleeping materials like mattress, Sleeping bags etc. We provide twin tent for our guest.

  • Meals:

We get paradise of food especially in the cities areas especially in Katmandu valley. We have a lot of restaurants with different cuisine in city but during the Rupina La pass camping trek we get to eat from Continental, Indian and Nepali menu especially choices like Pasta, Pizza, Mo. Mo, soup items, Potatoes items, Dal Bhat, Hot drinks Tea & Coffee etc. Our camping cook are well trained and certified from Nepal Academy of Tourism and hotel Management.

  • Our Team:

Being homeland of Himalayas, it’s obvious to have challenging routes, High altitude problems, Weather and other conditions; any of those situations is big enough to ruin your trip. Leading around the steeply hills and rocky routes is not a job of common climbers and trekkers. Himalayan Magic Treks have been providing native leaders and staffs working in this field perfectly since long years to overcome tough challenges and make your trip a golden memory. They are trained and well certified by the Government of Nepal. All of our staffs have received emergency guidance in Himalaya’s and have knowledge of first Aid for our guest. We never compromise giving safety to our staffs, therefore we provide insurance and medical services during the trek and compensation when they need especially to Porters, Kitchen member and other.

  • Field Staffs:

we are  very much concern about the comfort of our guest and whenever it is about the staffs in the field. When we are on trek trekking through challenging route we need proper number of workers like Guide, Porter, Assistance guide, Camping members and other staffs. We provide 1 assistance guide with every 4 - 9 guests and 2 assistance guide with 10 guests. We do need strong and portable Porters to carry our weights, We provide 1 porters for 2 guest depending on guest stuffs and we allow only 25 kg for porters. We have professional and expert Guide, Leader and City guide in the field and can speak proper English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Chinese, Japanese, Korean and other required. We can also manage any other staffs as per your demand.      

  • Equipment’s:

We believe equipments does matter to make your trip easy and comfortable. Caring excessive quantity of equipment doesn’t make your adventure more interesting but the drawback. So, we request you to carry only selected and needed one and save your extra expenses for other need in trek though we have our potential porters. Warm Clothes, Down Jacket, Trouser, T-shirt, Hiking Boot, Sunglass, Sun cream, Knife, Walking Steak, day back pack, Head Light, Sleeping Bag etc. These are the equipments which you most carry during the trek.

Clothing

Liner socks, Trekking shirts short sleeve, Thermal underwear, fleece sweaters lightweight, one heavier Easy drying long sleeved base layer shirts, woolen blends trekking socks, pair trekking pants with zip off bottoms

Outer layers

down vest, wind/rain proof over layer - jacket and pants, peak hat, headband, Warm winter hat, lightweight thermal layer hat, pair gloves, down jacket, Pair trekking boots, pair down booties Great for keeping feet warm in tent and while sleeping and for in the tent. Pair flip flops (for late night bathroom runs)

  • Safety & Security:

Security is our primary concern! From your beginning day (we will be there to pick you up with our staffs and identity) to departure date (airport drop services) we are always there to help you. We have proper remedial services during the trek with professional staffs; first aid kit, oxygen bag and Helicopter service for emergency rescue whenever trekkers get physical Loss or altitude sickness. We have focused more on acclimatization days to get rid of altitude sickness too.

  • Best Season to Trek in Nepal:

Autumn (September - November) and Spring (March - May) is the best trekking season for the trekking and mountaineering in Nepal.  Weather is mostly clear and temperature is moderate which offers beautiful views without any obstruction. Spring collects beautiful flowers, plants and rare animals Walking is also very much suitable during this season. 

Summer (June - August) and Winter (December - February). Though Summer collects heavy monsoon rainfall it is very much clear to trek around Mustang, Dolpo and Nar- Phu valley since they are rain shadow areas.  Tibet is much more favorable for Tibet trek. Everest,  Langtang and Annapurna are always comfortable to trek even in winter season.

  • Experience & Fitness:

Trekking in Nepal for Rupina La pass Trek does not require past experience, though we have challenging route in Everest compared to Annapurna our itinerary suggests to walk comfortable distances. Trekking in Himalayas always takes us to challenging altitudes and rocky routes, demands proper rest time and acclimatization to sustain their strength. We always have both listed properly in our itinerary. However certain training like Running, Skipping and other workout will definitely help you in roots. 

  • Acclimatization:

Altitude sickness is a significant risk when trekking on any trails above about 2,500m. However good health, proper care and drinking plenty of water will definitely help you to prevent from altitude sickness. Every trekkers needs to be familiar with the heights so, for this we have life saving acclimatization days during the trek, peak climbing and expedition. We also provide certain medical support for your relief and emergency rescue through helicopter whenever guest require.

  • Eco Friendly: 

We only leave foot prints! Himalayan Magic Treks is very much concern agency on environment pollution and Global Warming. We are always serious and genuine towards our garbage during the trek especially in Camping type. We collect all the rubbish and deposit it to proper place to protect our environment. We also partake in every program conducted in KEEP Kathmandu Environmental Education Project. We also suggest all travelers to protect our environment and Stop Global Warming.

Day 01Arrival in Kathmandu 1,400m airport Representative with Himalayan Magic Treks Member and direct transfer to Hotel with Bed & Breakfast plan.
Day 02
Permit preparation Day in Kathmandu overnight at Hotel on Bed / Breakfast plan
Day 03
Drive to Barpak (1750m) 6 hours walk. This day several river we have to pass and up and down way through the forest, we pass the Kayaure gurung village, several up and down and forest, village and forest walk. Barpak is settlement of more than 60 houses with majority of Gurung and Chettri Brahamman and many people’s from this village are in British Gorkha and Indian Gorkha army.
Day 04
Rest day in Barpak overnight at Lodge
Day 05
Barpak to Dhansirakharka (2,000m) 5 hours walk. This day in the beginning the way is flat /straight and descent down 30 minutes to Dorondi Khola after crossing the suspension bridge the way starts to climb for the Dhansirakharka camp side. Dhansirakharka is only Kharka there; there is few shelters settlement there because the villagers from Barpak bring their cattle’s there in the summer
Day 06
Dhansirakharka to Bhaisekharka (about 3,950m) 6 hours walk.This day all uphill along the Dorondi Khola and Juniper and pine trees forest.
Day  07
Bhaisekharka to Rupinala glacier (4,000m) 8 hours walk.This day gradually up about 4 hours and pass Rupina la pass (4,643m) and downhill to the glacier camp. This day is very hard day for this trekking.
Day 08Glacier camp to Chuling Khola Kharka (3,950m) 5 hours walks on the glacier. Around Chuling khola this place is one of the best valley in Nepal for the view and so quite place, we feel like hidden valley even though different landscape and mountains.
Day 09Chulingkhola Kharka to Ngyak bensi (about 2,000m) 6 hours walk down hill.
Day 10Trek back to Jagat overnight at Lodge.
Day 11Trek back to Khorsane overnight at Lodge.
Day 12
Trek back to Arughat overnight at Lodge.
Day 13
Drive back to Kathmandu overnight at Hotel on Bed / Breakfast plan
