Langtang Ganja-La Pass Trekking is similar route of Langtang Valley till Kyangjin Gomba than we can continue Trekking via Ganja-La Pass (5,106m) as a camping trail. After crossing Ganja- La pass, we heads towards quite challenging adventure trekking trail into the wilderness trekking between Langtang and Helambu valleys.

Langtang Ganja-La Trail takes us all the way along the lush Valleys, evergreen forest, and waterfall, pristine rhododendrons forest, most beautiful hills with stunning mountains views, remarkable valleys of Langtang and Helambu. These places are mostly inhabited by Tamang and Helamo ethnic group. You can observe their culture,Tradition, unique traditional costumes, an ancient trading style and hardship of rural life style.

Langtang Ganja-la Pass Trek starts from Syabru bensi, that if 120 km North-West from Kathmandu valley. Our journey leads along the Alpine forest, enrich flora and fauna, high altitude steep up and down a little plateau to the Langtang Valley. It is the biggest Tamang settlement village of the Tamang which is influenced by the Tibetan culture, can see scenery view of spectacular mountain and glaciers.Our trail ascends up Kyanjgjing Gompa(3,800m),generally it is known for the Yako cheese in Kyangjing Gompa. We will stay there for acclimatizing our self and explore around the Kyanjgjing. We pass the Ganja-La Pass from north part that offers us alluring view of Langtang Lirung and the snow Peak in Tibet side including Shisha Pangma 8,013m. During the clear day you could have view of other most beautiful  hills, mountains to the south parts also to west of the pass Naya Kanga (5,846m), formerly named Ganja –La Chuli. The pass the trail descends along steep and dangerous baggy screen slope for around 200m before emerging onto a snow slope. The descent form Ganja-La Pass, such as mountains descents, seems more hazardous than the ascent. Direction of the Ganja-la pass, trekking trail descends along the basin through a distinct path, marked seldom by rock Cairns towards a small stream at 4,400m as we move further pass along a waterfall towards an alluring Helambu Valley. Then we lead our journey along one of the several substitute trails throughout villages such as  Tarkey Gaun, Seremathang, Kakani to the Melamchipul Bazaar than back to Kathmandu. Since, Langtang Ganja-La Pass Trek is camping trek we provide comfortable dining, kitchen, crew, restroom tents and sleeping materials like mattress, Sleeping bags etc. We provide twin tent for our guest.

  • Meals:

We get paradise of food especially in the cities areas especially in Katmandu valley. We have a lot of restaurants with different cuisine in city but during the camping trek we get to eat from Continental, Indian and Nepali menu especially choices like Pasta, Pizza, Mo. Mo, soup items, Potatoes items, Dal Bhat, Hot drinks Tea & Coffee etc. Our camping cook are well trained and certified from Nepal Academy of Tourism and hotel Management.

  • Equipment’s:

We believe equipment does matter to make your trip easy and comfortable. Caring excessive quantity of equipment doesn’t make your adventure more interesting but the drawback. So, we request you to carry only selected and needed one and save your extra expenses for other need in trek though we have our potential porters. Warm Clothes, Down Jacket, Trouser, T-shirt, Hiking Boot, Sunglass, Sun cream, Knife, Walking Steak, day back pack, Head Light, Sleeping Bag etc. These are the equipment which you most carry during the trek.

Clothing

Liner socks, Trekking shirts short sleeve, Thermal underwear, fleece sweaters lightweight, one heavier Easy drying long sleeved base layer shirts, woolen blends trekking socks, pair trekking pants with zip off bottoms

Outer layers

down vest, wind/rain proof over layer - jacket and pants, peak hat, headband, Warm winter hat, lightweight thermal layer hat, pair gloves, down jacket, Pair trekking boots, pair down booties Great for keeping feet warm in tent and while sleeping and for in the tent. Pair flip flops (for late night bathroom runs)

  • Safety & Security:

Security is our primary concern! From your beginning day (we will be there to pick you up with our staffs and identity) to departure date (airport drop services) we are always there to help you. We have proper remedial services during the trek with professional staffs; first aid kit, oxygen bag and Helicopter service for emergency rescue whenever trekkers get physical Loss or altitude sickness. We have focused more on acclimatization days to get rid of altitude sickness too.

  • Best Season to Trek in Nepal:

Autumn (September - November) and Spring (March - May) is the best trekking season for the trekking and mountaineering in Nepal.  Weather is mostly clear and temperature is moderate which offers beautiful views without any obstruction. Spring collects beautiful flowers, plants and rare animals Walking is also very much suitable during this season. 

Summer (June - August) and Winter (December - February). Though Summer collects heavy monsoon rainfall it is very much clear to trek around Mustang, Dolpo and Nar- Phu valley since they are rain shadow areas.  Tibet is much more favorable for Tibet trek. Everest,  Langtang and Annapurna are always comfortable to trek even in winter season.

  • Experience & Fitness:

Trekking in Nepal for Langtang Ganja-La Pass Trek does not require past experience, though we have challenging route in Everest compared to Annapurna our itinerary suggests to walk comfortable distances. Trekking in Himalayas always takes us to challenging altitudes and rocky routes, demands proper rest time and acclimatization to sustain their strength. We always have both listed properly in our itinerary. However certain training like Running, Skipping and other workout will definitely help you in roots. 

  • Acclimatization:

Altitude sickness is a significant risk when trekking on any trails above about 2,500m. However good health, proper care and drinking plenty of water will definitely help you to prevent from altitude sickness. Every trekkers needs to be familiar with the heights so, for this we have life saving acclimatization days during the trek, peak climbing and expedition. We also provide certain medical support for your relief and emergency rescue through helicopter whenever guest require.

  • Eco Friendly: 

We only leave foot prints! Himalayan Magic Treks is very much concern agency on environment pollution and Global Warming. We are always serious and genuine towards our garbage during the trek especially in Camping type. We collect all the rubbish and deposit it to proper place to protect our environment. We also partake in every program conducted in KEEP Kathmandu Environmental Education Project. We also suggest all travelers to protect our environment and Stop Global Warming.

Arrive at Kathmandu International Airport (TIA) 1,400 m- Welcome by Himalayan Magic Treks member and direct transfer to Hotel on Bed & Breakfast plan.
Day 02
Kathmandu City Tour like  Boudhanath, Pasupatinath and Kathmandu Durbar Square overnight at Hotel with Bed & Breakfast plan.
Day 03
Drive to Syabru Bensi (1,462m) 7/8 hours overnight at Lodge.
Day 04
Trek to Lama Hotel (2,480m) 6/7 hours overnight at Lodge.
Day 05
Trek to Langtang village (3,307m) 5/6 hours overnight at Lodge.
Day 06
Trek to Kyanjin Gompa (3,870m) 4 ½ hours overnight at Lodge.
Day 07
Res for acclimatization hike to Tsergo-ri (5,033m) back to Kyangjing Gumpa overnight at Lodge.
Day 08
Trek to Nyengang kharka (4,430m) 6/7 hours overnight at Tent.
Day 09Trek to High camp (4,960m) 3/ 4 hours overnight at Tent.
Day 10
Trek to Ganja-la pass (5,130m) Down to Keldang (Approximately 4,270m) 6/7 hours overnight at Tent.
Day 11
Trek to Dukpu (4,080m) 6/7 hours overnight at Tent.
Day 12
Trek to Tarke Gyang (2,590m) 5/6 hour overnight at Lodge.
Day 13
Rest day after the high pass at Tarke Gyayang overnight at Lodge.
Day 14
Trek to Sermathang (2,590m) 6/7 hours overnight at Lodge.
Day 15
Trek to Malemchi Bazaar (846m) 6/7 hours overnight at Lodge.
Day 16
Drive Back to Kathmandu 5/6 hours overnight at Hotel Evening will take dinner together with typical Nepali culture.
Day 17
Departure from Kathmandu to your onward destination.
