Annapurna Tilicho Lake Trek offer you an incredible Mountains standing on different faces such as Annapurna II, Annapurna III, Annapurna IV , Gangapurna, Tilicho Peak as well as many other Peaks in this Annapurna Circuit and must stunning world highest Lake Tilicho 4919 m that lies in the Annapurna range of  the central Nepal. that collects the glacial melt of the Mt. Annapurna and Thorong –La Pass (5,416m). Tilicho Lake has historical significance according to the Hindu Religion, Hindu Devotees as it is spotted in the holy book Ramayan.

Being one of the most challenging trekking trail of Nepal, it gives us chance to observe Himalayan Thar( mountain goat), Snow Leopard, splendid view of the Tilicho Lake, massive  natural diversity i.e. vegetation zone from lush-tropical – harsh and Semi-dessert along this trekking route. This trek stars from Besisahar passes through Marsyangdi River, with massive view of the Manaslu and Himal Chuli in the West. Interestingly, this trekking trail provides us to explore with massive diversity of the ethnics group and this trekking trail which is similar to Annapurna circuit trek. From Manang we will move to the main valley to the west through the Khangasar village (the last village of Nepal) then trek up to Tilicho Lake, again our trail head towards Yak Kharka then joins the Normal Annapurna circuit route passes through the Thorong La pass.

Annapurna Tilich Lake offers us various magnificent views, an ancient  monasteries, chance to observe and explore the beautiful villages, chance  to interact with local inhabitants, exotic scenic view of the Tilicho Lake, Gangapurna, Tarkekang, Khangsar Kang and Manang valley and  its surrounding Himalayas, Hindu pilgrimage of the Muktinath temple etc.

  • Accommodations:

We give our first priority to our guest to serve them at superior level that is what making us today Himalayan Magic Treks. For the accommodation we have been providing star hotels in Katmandu and even normal guest house according to the guest demands and need. During the trek we provide standard Guest House with sound environment and hygienic food for the guest to make their trip happening and healthy. Being one of the paramount destination in the world Annapurna region collects lots of tourist. so, there will always be better Lodge and facilities in Annapurna Tilicho Lake Trek.

  • Meals:

We get paradise of food especially in the cities areas especially in Katmandu valley. We have a lot of restaurants with different cuisine in city but during the trek we get to eat from Continental and Nepali menu especially choices like Pasta, Pizza, Mo. Mo, soup items, Potatoes items, Dal Bhat, Hot drinks Tea & Coffee etc.

  • Our Team:

Being homeland of Himalayas, it’s obvious to have challenging routes, High altitude problems, Weather and other conditions; any of those situations is big enough to ruin your trip. Leading around the steeply hills and rocky routes is not a job of common climbers and trekkers. Himalayan Magic Treks have been providing native leaders and staffs working in this field perfectly since long years to overcome tough challenges and make your trip a golden memory. They are trained and well certified by the Government of Nepal. All of our staffs have received emergency guidance in Himalaya’s and have knowledge of first Aid for our guest. We never compromise giving safety to our staffs, therefore we provide insurance and medical services during the trek and compensation when they need especially to Porters, Kitchen member and other.

  • Field Staffs:

we are  very much concern about the comfort of our guest and whenever it is about the staffs in the field. When we are on trek trekking through challenging route we need proper number of workers like Guide, Porter, Assistance guide, Camping members and other staffs. We provide 1 assistance guide with every 4 - 9 guests and 2 assistance guide with 10 guests. We do need strong and portable Porters to carry our weights, We provide 1 porters for 2 guest depending on guest stuffs and we allow only 25 kg for porters. We have professional and expert Guide, Leader and City guide in the field and can speak proper English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Chinese, Japanese, Korean and other required. We can also manage any other staffs as per your demand.       

  • Equipment’s:

We believe equipment's does matter to make your trip easy and comfortable. Caring excessive quantity of equipment doesn’t make your adventure more interesting but the drawback. So, we request you to carry only selected and needed one and save your extra expenses for other need in trek though we have our potential porters. Warm Clothes, Down Jacket, Trouser, T-shirt, Hiking Boot, Sunglasess, Sun cream, Knife, Walking Steak, day back pack, Head Light, Sleeping Bag etc. These are the equipment's which you most carry during the trek.

  • Clothing

Liner socks, Trekking shirts short sleeve, Thermal underwear, fleece sweaters lightweight, one heavier Easy drying long sleeved base layer shirts, woolen blends trekking socks, pair trekking pants with zip off bottoms

  • Outer layers

down vest, wind/rain proof over layer - jacket and pants, peak hat, headband, Warm winter hat, lightweight thermal layer hat, pair gloves, down jacket, Pair trekking boots, pair down booties  Great for keeping feet warm in room and while sleeping and for in the lodge.

  • Safety & Security:

Security is our primary concern! From your beginning day (we will be there to pick you up with our staffs and identity) to departure date (airport drop services) we are always there to help you. We have proper remedial services during the trek with professional staffs; first aid kit, oxygen bag and Helicopter service for emergency rescue whenever trekkers get physical Loss or altitude sickness. We have focused more on acclimatization days to get rid of altitude sickness too.

  • Best Season to Trek in Nepal:

  • Autumn (September - November) and Spring (March - May) is the best trekking season for the trekking and mountaineering in Nepal.  Weather is mostly clear and temperature is moderate which offers beautiful views without any obstruction. Spring collects beautiful flowers, plants and rare animals Walking is also very much suitable during this season. 
  • Summer (June - August) and Winter (December - February). Though Summer collects heavy monsoon rainfall it is very much clear to trek around Mustang, Dolpo and Nar- Phu valley since they are rain shadow areas.  Tibet is much more favorable for Tibet trek. Everest,  Langtang and Annapurna are always comfortable to trek even in winter season.
  • Experience & Fitness:

Trekking in Nepal for Annapurna Tilicho Lake Trek does not require past experience, though we have challenging route in Everest compared to Annapurna our itinerary suggests to walk comfortable distances. Trekking in Himalayas always takes us to challenging altitudes and rocky routes, demands proper rest time and acclimatization to sustain their strength. We always have both listed properly in our itinerary. However certain training like Running, Skipping and other workout will definitely help you in roots.  

  • Acclimatization:

Altitude sickness is a significant risk when trekking on any trails above about 2,500m. However good health, proper care and drinking plenty of water will definitely help you to prevent from altitude sickness. Every trekkers needs to be familiar with the heights so, for this we have life saving acclimatization days during the trek, peak climbing and expedition. We also provide certain medical support for your relief and emergency rescue through helicopter whenever guest require.

  • Eco Friendly: 

We only leave foot prints.Himalayan Magic Treks is very much concern agency on environment pollution and Global Warming. We are always serious and genuine towards our garbage during the trek especially in Camping type. We collect all the rubbish and deposit it to proper place to protect our environment. Drive to Besishar(7,60m) by local bus and again drive to Chame (2,670 m) by Local Jeep it takes 9  hours overnight at Lodge. (Breakfast,Lunch ,Dinner)

Trek to Pisang (3,200 m) 5/6 hours walking overnight at Lodge.(Breakfast,Lunch ,Dinner)

Early morning Trek hike to World Highest Lake Tilicho (4,920 m) see the incredible View of Lake, Tilicho peak, Mount Annapurna one Chulu East Chulu West many etc. then trek Down to Sirikharka (3,930m) 7/8 hours overnight at Lodge (Breakfast,Lunch ,Dinner)

Trek to Yak Kharka (4,050m) 5 hours overnight at Lodge. (Breakfast,Lunch ,Dinner)

Trek to Thorang High Camp (4,925 m) 5 hours overnight at Lodge. (Breakfast,Lunch ,Dinner)

Early morning we will have breakfast than climb up to the Thorang-la pass (5,416 m).after we are Trek down to  Muktinath (3,760 m) 7/8 hours overnight at Lodge.(Breakfast,Lunch ,Dinner)

Trek to Jomsom (2,720m) 5/6 hours overnight at Lodge.(Breakfast,Lunch ,Dinner)
Day 13
Early morning we take flight from Jomsom to Pokhara(8,20m) 25 minuets transfer to Hotel with Bed & Breakfast

Drive back to Kathmandu Hotel Evening Dinner together with Typical Nepali culture.

  • Tips
Acute Mountains Sickness (AMS) sign:

Headache, often with the loss of appetite, nausea vomiting, tiredness, dizziness, distributed sleep. What to do? Stay at height for 1-2 days in lower place to acclimatization, descend or use diamox  (250mg every 12 hours).

HACE signs:

Severe headache, loss of balance/coordination, staggering, irrational behavior, confusion, drowsiness, coma, death (Sometimes in a few hours)
What to do? Check with straight-line heel-to-toe walking.  HACE victims cannot do it. DESCEND immediately , even at night, at least 1000m with someone else, oxygen, Gamow bag, keep patient warm, diamox to be safe also take hot garlic soup

HAPE Signs:

Breath (even at rest), dry cough/pink or rusty spit, blue lips/nails, very tired, low fever, gurgling breath, drowsy, coma, death.
What to do? See HACE + Nifedipine

PREVENTION:

Ascend slow (300-500m/day) don’t exert yourself, eat high carbohydrate foods, drink lots of water and locals recommend garlic soup avoid alcohol and caffeine.

Safety first:

Sprains and stains

Probably the most common accident in the area, Steep terrain and rough trails may cause many people strain their knees and ankles. Remember stretch before you start walking, take your time avoid trekking in the night time, and bring joint support bandages if you require hem.
Health posts. There are at least one health post in every VDC of the Area. This facility is open to trekkers who require medical attention. A novel a you can help the Health post is to leave any unwanted medicines at the center at the end of your trek. This may help other fellow trekkers ho need urgent medical care.
Rescue operation- how to be prepared?
We will be serious in this case to protect our clients in the Mountain and it should be able to organize a rescue evacuation for you quickly in your critical situation. If not the following precautions may prevent a long wait for a helicopter for rescues during emergency.
  Have travel insurance and carry your insurance policy number with you.
  Carry a credit card with you.
  Do the coordination with your Tour Guide to connection with responsible person of HMT to quick Rescue services to safe your Life
  Clients should Keep in touch with Company Manager during your travel time and Do not trust only Guide for this Emergency case
  Guest should be able to check First aid kit with your Guide , who goes to Mountains to guiding you and avoid trekking on your own.

Other problems:

•    Sick, Doctors at VDC health posts, Foreign doctors in Manang ( March-April,  Sept-early December)
•    Helicopter evacuation, You have to call in Kathmandu HMT Office 01-4378206 or 9849166578 (Nabin) directly with your guide support
-    Have a credit card and travel insurance number
•    Donkeys/Mules/yak: stay on the uphill side of these beasts.
•    Leeches: stay on trail use salt to get rid of them, avoid the monsoon season.
•    Full lodges: stop early don’t arrive in a place with 1-2 lodges at dusk, carry a tent
•    Hypothermia: when cold and or wet. Starts with shivering, progressing to slurred speech, stumbling, confusion, death.

Safe and non-pollution drinking water

Please do not buy bottled water as most bottles end up polluting the environment. Using untreated rive and tap water is a sure bet to get diarrhea, giardia etc. Use:

•    Iodine tablets: Use 1 tablet per liter and wait 30 min. Hide foul taste with lemon or orange flavored powder.
•    Boiled and filtered water  fairly safe but not so good if boiled with firewood
•    Your own water filter would be recommended during the Trek
Reducing pollution and environmental impacts
•    Carry out what you carry in
•    Take your empty batteries home stay / eat in loges than cook in gas/kerosene and have solar showers
•    Order the same  food for several people at the same time to cooking easily to saving time to reach for destination on time without any risk
•    Wear warm clothes rather than having the rooms heated
•    Don’t defecate new after sources
•    Dump garbage only at proper bins or pits
•    A high altitudes (4000m) do not even throw way biodegradable junk
•    Do not disturb wildlife
•    Do not hurt or remove animals and plants in the protected areas
•    Do not buy items made from wildlife parts, It will be illegal in the sum of dangerous case
•    Don’t accept “free” plastic bags.

Culturally acceptable behavior

You are a guest In Nepal and it is appreciated if you behave like one:

•    Dress decently( no short shorts or revealing clothes)
•    Do not show affection in public
•    Do not buy antiques
•    Do no point your feet(unclean) to people and point with full hand not with one  finger
•    Do not step over persons
•    Do not touch or step over offerings(re powder, flowers/rice)
•    Do not use your left hand( dirty)
•    Receive and give with two hands
•    Ask permission before taking people’s photographs.
•    Do  not ask local kids for school pens or sweets( don’t give either)
•    Discourage begging, pay fair prices
•    Take off your shoes before entering a monastery
•    Go clockwise around Stupas,  Temples or world Heritage sides etc
•    Do not eat smoke or be loud a religious sites
•    Women should avoid touching monks/lamas
